their halo-halo is simply the best because the ice are thinly shaved like snow unlike elsewhere where the ice can be chunky. sisig was okay. but what i always go back to is the lechon kawali because they give a decent portion unlike elsewhere and it does not come out dry - it's a nice chunk and is juicy.

Had an excellent and well-earned foot massage whilst shopping at the huge SM Mall of Asia in Manila, and asked the girls there where we could get some good local Filipino food. They recommended the nearby fast food joint Razon's of Guagua.

It's a Filipino fast food chain: its simple, hearty fare....it was packed with locals, its cheap but its very, very good! The chicken sisig is really delicious and the lechon (crispy pork) too. The Lumpia (spring rolls) were disappointing, but the main attraction seems to be the noodles (which we didn't have) but it seemed like everyone else was eating them!

Would have liked to have seen more places like this in Manila, as it seems like they serve authentic local dishes, but this was a good discovery for people unfamiliar with local food who want to try the real deal.
