We stayed at the Hotel Durban for a couple of nights in early September and it was great. The hotel itself is very tidy and the staff were very accommodating and there is plenty going on in the area. They do require cash payment on check in but this isn’t a problem as there are a lot of ATM’s nearby. And for those that are interested a yellow metered taxi from the airport cost 340 pesos
