I spent two nights sharing a twin room with a colleague. The room was quite small but had all useful amenities like safe, iron and kettle/tea/coffee. There was a daily newspaper delivery. The bathroom also quite small and a bit old, I would add more hangers for clothes and towels.

The staff were nice but for me too many of them in the lobby, greeting guests non stop. The plus side was free wifi in the room.

In the conference rooms the problem was air conditioning - they said it was broken and could be only on (freezing) or off (stuffy). A very big minus on this. Also, the wifi didn't work there with many people in the room, wasn't fixed.

In the morning on Saturday there was a queue at breakfast. The selection of foods was big, they even serve sushi for breakfast, but i was quite lost and couldn't find my way there easily.

Be careful on the aircon in the room, don't overdo it.

If you want a cheaper taxi, ask the security guy to catch a metered one for you and make sure the driver starts the meter.

The shopping center with a supermarket and local souvenirs (Kultura) is right by the hotel.

The best and one of the biggest rooms we had. My 3year old son and I checked-in late due to a hell of Manila's worst traffic evah!,a very gracious lady ushered us to the front desk area but we were told that we should be at the MEZZANINE level where the Dusit Club is located. I booked an executive room for 2 nights but i didn't know that we will be staying at a club room with all its exclusive perks and express check-in/check out process. It was a breeze, lasting only 2 minutes, with the club lounge officer apologizing in advance about some noise on the 17th flr where some fixing was being made and we're off to the 16th floor. It was a huge room with a very soothing smell of potpourri, even the hallway smells so good. Everything inside the executive suite was fabulous except for a worn-out paint tub, broken shower (which we fixed ourselves from time to time) and slippery bathroom floor. The bathroom needs some serious renovation (but if one's not picky, it will all be fine) and a little updating on the rooms overall interior. We had the best sunset view of the Makati skyline. The facilities are quite charming and well-equipped, especially DFIT FITNESS STUDIO,with a clean pool, and the heavenly, award-winning DEVARANA Spa (it was magnificent). The Japanese garden is very relaxing. The Lobby lounge offers some affordable cocktail drinks (they dont have mojito! but i enjoyed the cosmopolitan and margarita!) with soothing music and live music performers with so much class!Di i mention the wonderfully fabulous spiral stairs leading to the mezzanine floor? We had our breakfast at TOSCA, and yes dahlings, it a must try and one of the best Italian fine dining restaurants in the Metro.Dusit Thani deserves a five star approval only if they will improve their rooms and the hotel exterior. The service? it was fantastic.

Room Tip: Booked an EXECUTIVE ROOM either with the MAKATI view or the FORBES PARK view...trust me you will ne...

The Dusit Thani is our start and finish point for our semi-annual vacations in the Philippines. Each of the 12 times we stayed there, we are amazed at the friendliness. We have made met some very nice staff members. (i need to mention Jan the bellman and Mark the waiter). They remembered us on this last stay. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The food is great. We do enjoy the morning buffet. The only suggestion I do have is to place safety strips in the bath tub. We stayed in room 1143, and being the 2nd in line to shower, I did slip when entering the bathtub. All in all, it was fantastic. See you in April..............

Great location for the Makati business district. 15 minutes from the airport (sunday). Room is fine although bathroom a little dated. Staff are friendly and helpful and good pool leisure facilities if time permits. Excellent business hotel. Tip for first time visitors is to get your bearings as most paces are walkable (pack a brolly)

Room Tip: Check the rates on club room as often not much more than standard and include a bunch of extras at n...

Ironically the executive apartment was not as nice as the deluxe I stayed in before. It was musty smelling and the decor was very 1980s. Also the staff didn't have me on the system even though I had the Agoda voucher, and they seemed suspicious and made me sign something saying the room rate for the night. It was sorted by the morning but it just wasn't a nice feeling to start off with.

Level of comfort was amazing. Rooms had plenty of space, well laid out and maintained well. All staff very courteous and efficienct, however the lobby staff a little over the top whenever we traversed the area and was greeted by one and all with Thai greeting. Food in Restaurants first class, gym well equiped and staff helpful.
Location in Makati was excellent and was reasonably close to where we wanted to go.

Only downside was that the hotel is showing signs of age (abt 30 yrs) and some of the renovations interferrred with activities. Lot of building going on close by with Raffles Hotel etc which blocked pedestrian access along streets.

For those shopaholics, Hotel is within walking distance (abt two blocks) from arguably the best shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere (Green Belt 1-5). Great value.

Room Tip: We were offered an upgrade and accepted for a little more cash, but it was worth it. Be wary of cor...

Although the hotel is of an older construction, it is very well maintained and very clean and hospitable. Don't expect the rooms to be modern.

The staff is very capable and very friendly. Hats off.

If this is your first time in Manila and you are a European or American travel make sure to stay in Makati. The location is perfectly close to all shopping centers.
