“A sanctuary within a shopping center”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2014

Being early for meeting, we went to the chapel to hear mass, the chapel is open air circular shape with the alter in the center although the seating capacity inside the chapel is not many, the spillover of worshipers can be accommodated on the sprawling ground.
The audio system is good that you could hear the priest clearly, no external fans to alleviate the heat for the noontime mass only the shades from the trees.
When the rains come either bring your umbrella or be early lot be seated inside the chapel.

“Solemn respite in the middle of hectic Greenbelt...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 17, 2014

I consider Greenbelt Chapel as my parish church not only because it is walking distance from where I live but more importantly, it provides the community the spiritual requirements (badly) needed by the people. The current location of the chapel was where the giant Greenbelt Aviary used to be. We used to go there a lot during my teens hence the importance of this chapel to me ...it provides a continuum of what I have loved in Makati from years before. I attend the 7:15am Sunday mass as I find it more solemn than the later mass celebrations. It's quieter, with less people and there are no mall goers milling around the proximity going about their merry way. Their one of ther banner programs is the Help a Parish program whereby additional donations are gently requested to provide assistance to the poor parishes around the Philippines.

“Nice Chapel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2014

This is not a place I will change my plans to see but it is located at the center of a nice shopping mall and it is wide open in the yard. Quite original architecture for a chapel.

“Unconventional Chapel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2014

I've never reviewed a chapel before, but there's always a first. This one is lovely - a half sphere, like a permanent dome-tent, in a quiet garden area of Greenbelt right in the middle of the madness of Makati. If there was anyplace to preach the dangers of Mammon and Materialism, it's here, because most of the surrounding buildings are enormous indoor shopping malls. There is a great string of small restaurants nearby as well. All in all, the setting and the chapel itself are a welcome respite from the heat and confusion of Makati. You can go shopping, reflect on life and eternity, and then have lunch or dinner afterwards. I recommend visiting the chapel even if you don't plan to participate in a service. Just visiting is good for the soul.

“Not the most awesome stuff you would see!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2014

Well apart from the awesome people and a lot of shopping malls, Makati has very little to offer to people who are looking for some architecture and history. The Chapel is one of the areas which would be pleasing to the eye but it isnt the architechtural wonder of SE Asia. It is a very calm and green stretch surrounded by the shopping belt of Manila. It is a nice place to visit in the evening after which you can have dinner in one of the many cool restaurants around.
