“Memorable stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2005

For our first anniversary, my bf and I decided to have an overnight stay here. I reserved via phone and ask queries through email and they were very prompt in replying on all of my queries. The staff at the hotel were friendly, and the room was nice. The pool and gym were nice too! What I didn't like about is the bath tub was clogged and therefore takes some time to drain. Outside, there are bars and restaurants to choose from, not to mention that the social strip and malls (Greenbelt, Glorietta, Landmark, etc.) are just a walk away. Over - all, our stay was a very memorable one and would recommend to anybody who wants a first class treatment at a very reasonable price.

L personally come to that hotel each time I come to Philippines. I come there about 3 - 5 times per year. It is a great place , courtesy staff and great buffet, the gym is adequate and will serve ur purpose. The massage staff, wow, great staff especially Marian, I always ask for her by name, she is very polite, professional and will accomodate you and make you feeling alive again. The only bad thing at the hotel is the elevator service. Only 2 elevators and everyone will spend a lot of time waiting., But besides that, I personally think it is the best hotel for the cheap price, You cannot get it any better....

In short it's a very good Makati choice. Although one black mark is that you shouldn't bother calling them for 1 night's stay as, from my latter experience, they may tell you they're 'booked up' (yeah right...). & same for their sister hotel !! Nonetheless, if you're staying a few nights you'll find that the rooftop swimming pool is very charming and the bedroom & bathroom to be of an international high standard. & if you choose a room on a higher floor you won't notice Manila's idiotic cacophony of car horns from the streets down below. Breakfast is served buffet style and it was very tasy, albeit the juices tasted as if they were prepared from a packet (as is the norm in Manila).

The staff were very polite when addressing me. However, one quibble was that the mostly male philippino staff repeatedly ogled my GF, and spoke to her at absolutely *every* opportunity (& in tagalog despite her being from outside the Philippines). I'm sure they were just overly admiring & complimenting her beauty at every turn but it soon became a little irritating. In other words, it would have been nice if the staff had been much more discrete in this matter... Still, don't let that put you off. It's a very good hotel.
