everything about the hotel is good, i think its just overpriced..if it gets the price right then its quite a good one to stay in manila..especially if you wish to be around the business districts and shoping malls..the hotel has a good spa..the buffet has nothing to offer for vegetarians..i eat eggs so managed....during non peak hours the airport was 20 mins..so id say good location is a big bonus for this hotel. so will consider again...

The City Garden continues to be an outstanding value for the small traveling family and businessman. I repeatidly stay at the City Garden for the standards of service, friendly and helpful staff, and varied menu for both the free buffet breakfast and Rooftop Restaurant.
Within 15-20 minutes to NAIA and 5-10 minutes to two major shopping malls, the location is perfect and taxi fare is reasonable. Various types of day trips are arranged right there in the hotel so families can be entertained while 'Dad' makes his business contacts. Thanks to the management and staff for another great stay.

Room Tip: Front rooms enjoy a better view, all have free WiFi..

I was here for 1 night stay only but everything for me is perfect , the only complained i've got is mosquitoes during dinner at the upper level floor. Over all highly recommended , location wise near all the high end shopping mall. I will definitely stay here again in the near future.

Stayed here for 5 nights. The rooms themselves are ok if not a little dark. The AC only operates when the card key is in place so on return at the end of a day at work the room is quite warm, and even on the coolest setting and highest fan it took a while for the room to cool down. The designer of this building did not allow for a service lift so it means at all times of the day the wait for a lift (there are 2) can be quite long. Breakfast is ok but the lifts open straight into the restraunt and the first thing you see 1 metre away when the lift opens is people eating, also not nice if that is the table you get allocated. The roof top bar gives an excellant view over the city and is a nice cool place to relax in the evening.

The hotel also has its own in house spa with staff been very polite and knowledgable, with all treatments explained before purchase, I was also advised if wanting a second massage to take a sauna first as I had some tight areas in my shoulder which would relax better if warmed by the sauna first. I thought this to be very good. This is a clean spa with no sexual references.

Check out also takes some time, there is a sign in the room saying allow 30 minutes to check out, I think this also is attributed to the lift system, with staff not been able to get from one part of the hotel to the other.

On stepping out side of the hotel you are continually pesterd by people wanting to sell you massage, leather goods, viagra, and in the evening there are alot of children running around begging.

To be noted, the hotel is situaited in one of the more seedy parts of Manila, with many strip joints and pick up clubs within 100m.

One good place to visit is a pub called "Owzat" a British style food selling mainly english dishes with some asian, a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at City Garden Hotel Makati. Room was great. The staff were all nice and service was exceptional. I enjoyed the breakfast on the second floor as it comes with many options. I will recommend City Garden Hotel and hope to stay here once more.

Room Tip: Higher floors have a good view, especial their Executive Deluxe.
