Absolutely top notch service in lovely surroundings in the otherwise chaotic Makati. Entering the lobby feels like stepping into a different world (in a good way). I only stayed one night before moving on to Baguio at 5AM and did not have the chance to try out either the pool or any of the restaurants (including breakfast). Note that if you plan on walking to the property at night you need to cross some pretty hairy roads and the underpass is closed during nighttime. For easy access to the Makati malls and restaurants the New World Hotel is to be preferred, but for style, service and comfort it is hard to match the Peninsula.

so i stayed here again..again the room was good, you expect, nothing WOW..TV was again bad,
however the real bad experience was the SPA..i took a GOLD caviar facial treatment..the most expensive..results were very sub par..for he money paid it was a total loss...
also they give you a message..after the message for 2 day I did not have a good sound sleep..
overall the SPA was a very mediocre experience..again I feel the peninsula is too hyped and over priced and delivers very little as part of experience.

Room Tip: this hotel has no views really..go for any room

We decided to splurge and end our trip with a stay at the Peninsula and it did not disappoint! The facilities are amazing, starting with the beautiful lobby. The room amenities and services are what every hotel should strive for - every possible toiletry item you need is available, free bottled water, and a fresh fruit plate as part of the evening turn down service. The separate bath tub/shower room with the mood lighting and music control panel adds to the luxuriousness of the room! The breakfast buffet at their restaurant is also amazing with every possible food item you'd want. It's the first time I've seen sashimi at a breakfast buffet!

This Hotel is super..!!!

We stayed at this hotel twice during this particular trip, Feb-21-2013 and Mar-11-2013, arriving and departing the Philippines respectively. I had heard by many people that this a great place to stay, and, IT IS!

First the lobby, grandiose-elegant, live band music as you are entering the hotel, you almost want to stay just at the lobby, so relaxing.....

The staff, very helpfull, courteous, they even ask if you are leaving the country in the am to remind you of the airport exit fee of 550 pesos..!! NO OTHER HOTEL HAD EVER REMINDED ME OF THAT --- >> "THANK YOU" <<-- It's called service.

The food, what can i say here, it carries the Manila Pen price tag, but it is very good, and, most important after a 21hour flight and arriving at 10:00pm, restaurant is available 24/7....yes..!!
Breakfast Buffet, a mesmerizing selection, aw mama you ain't going away hungrey....

Rooms are very~very clean, spacious and you know you are indeed in a great hotel...I wanted to stay another night just for the hell of it, but couldn't, had to catch a flight out.

The bellhops are in uniform and reminds you of a by gone era in the usa....

For years, on our first and last night in Manila, we used to stay at the Intercontiental, however, during my last stay at the intercontiental, they really pissed me off and I am an ambassador member, so this was our first time at the Pen, and treated us better than ever...

This is our new, hotel / place of residence, in Manila..!!!

Room Tip: I suppose any room is great here......

I have not stayed in this hotel for many years but was pleasantly surprised with the overall property. It was renovated several years ago and the rooms look good. Many hotels in Manila like the Intercontinental and the Mandarin are very beaten up and not renovated for many years. It is expensive but a lovely place to stay with family or for business. Staff are great but generally this is the case for most hotels in the Philippines. No real complaints of any kind. Wifi is free. Rooms are expensive though so look online for deals.

Room Tip: Facing the pool is very quiet which I prefer

Peninsula Makati is conveniently located in the heart of Makati and 5 min walk to Green Belts (shopping hub). Security, Great service, spacious room, flexible check out time, ample choice of menu from asian to western cuisines & nice swimming pool are some of key highlights. And yeah! Daily live music performance is something not to be missed during the stay. Have a pleasant stay!

This hotel has it all. The lobby is active all the time, and it should be. Very grand entrance, and piano playing at the perfect volume. Breakfast has almost too many choices. They have things at the brakfast buffet, that you cant even imagine.
