We stayed in grand deluxe room (upgraded my complimentary superior room from my membership). Room was big enough to accommodate 3 adults and 2 kids (13 yo and 5 yo). Kids had fun in the pool and most especially the breakfast buffet. They'd like to come back for the hot chocolate alone :)

Still highly recommended not just for business travellers but for guests with family as well.

I love this hotel except the lobby where you can smell food right away as you get in. They even serve buffet in the lobby. It is one of their main dining locations. If they just have a lobby like shangrila Makati, I would say Shangrila is second to Peninsula. Wish they have the lobby like Shangrila Makati where you can find luxury as you get in, with beautiful master piece and they only serve food in the end corner of the building's main entrance (lobby lounge) where you can enjoy the garden view, the grand piano & the orchestra. Unlike the peninsula, you an smell greasy food as you get in and it's kinda loud. Not a good place for a meeting while having coffee.

My only complain is the lobby, the rest is great! we stayed at the premier suite and it was amazing. I can say that their suites are better than Shangrila Makati though more expensive. We love the upscale restaurant called "Old Manila". We paid 270 US dollars for our dinner for two, worth every penny though! it was the finest dining we ever experienced in the country.

Spent a week at this hotel and it certainly lived up to expectations. Service was top class, all hotel staff were pleasant and efficient. It only takes a short walk to get to highly rated spas and shopping malls with good food, or you could even take the free shuttle. Back to food, the breakfast buffet spread is excellent, with a good mix of cuisines as well as a fresh juice bar. Business travelers will be pleased with the internet speed as well.

I travel to Manila fairly regularly for business, and the Pen is definitely the best of the bunch. Rooms are always pristine, beds are comfortable, there's a fantastic array of food in the restaurants and the beautiful pool is usually pretty empty early in the morning. Last but not least, the coffee is good - real espresso, not filter.

The Peninsula is not the cheapest hotel in Manila by far but was so relaxing & every amenity you could ever want is available.

The bed was perfect, wonderful cotton sheets, marble bathroom, lots of water & free products, LCD TV (no Australia Channel tho), writing desk & thick carpets.

Gym & spa is being renovated but the temporary gym has relatively new equipment & hunky gym helper boys & girls.

A million food options & the cookies that come with coffee are awesome.

Located right in Makati, Greenbelt & Glorietta are 5 minutes walk with another million food options & every shop you could imagine.

Spend the money! Don't stay anywhere else, I will be back. :)
