Unsafe usage of credit card information

Staying at Makati Shangri-La is a good option when visiting Manila. Car pick up with Wi-Fi in the car, comfortable large room with nice view, friends staff and a good breakfast buffet are as expected for this class of Hotel.
Very inconvenient was, that the receptionist tried to withdraw the deposit from my credit card 2 times without my presence, without using the card, just by manual input. That is unsafe and not professional. My bank rejected the transfers and informed me via email on possible fraud. I managed to clarify, and made deposit payment (which then was considerably lower) inserting the card at the terminal.
Such unsafe handling of credit card information (which was collected at time of booking) should not happen at any hotel, esp. not in that high price class.

Amazing experience!

As my 1st visit to Manila , it could not be better .... stay at this hotel was a perfect chosen. Fantastic place , services , rooms, staff ... everything was fantastic! Well positioned in a neighborhood surrounded of restaurants, bars, stores and malls ...
definitely one of the best 5 stars I have ever been stayed

Mostly satisfied

Strategic location. Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious rooms. Breakfast had multiple Indian cuisine options and the chef was happy to customize further.
One surprising aspect was Foie Gras being served in a Japanese restaurant on first floor, despite most reputed Hotels removing it from their menu due to the cruelty associated with it.

bath needs refurbishing

delivered what was expected from a 5 star hotel. breakfast buffet included, the tocino is too bland, no tapa. the bathtub needs refurbishing as it shows the hotel's age. understandable that Makati shang is indeed already old, however, you can renovate. good thing there are no bidets.

Happy with my stay

Very good service, the staffs are so cool the location is good and I really appreciate the ambiance I really the food at the resto really love the environment love tha quality services I really to stay again
