Chose this hotel mostly for its location, ie its close proximity to Green Belt Malls.
As is usual in SE Asis service was great, all staff very friendly. Only managed one breakfast as Ramadan commenced and was fasting. However it was very good, good choice and well presented. Room was comfortable and reasonable size. Shower head had a problem and water flow was intermittent. Taxes, laundry and Brekfast/internet package almost doubled the original price that I was quoted when I booked using Booking.com, so be aware of this. Overall, I would not rate this as 5 star, 4 star is closer.

The location of this hotel is great. You just need to cross the street to go to Greenbelt Mall. The breakfast was good, lots of choices. The room is good and clean. The dinner buffet was great. Many choices even though the price was to high.

Executive lounge was great. 5PM onwards free cocktails and canapes.
Service was great.

The problem was, during night time, there was so many prostitutes that can enter the hotel without any problem. There is no screening if they are the guest of the hotel or not.

This made us feels uncomfortable.

We also witnessed a car loaded with women park in front of entrance and there was older senior foreign man who choose couple of young girls from the car.

We checked out at around 5.30AM to catch our early flight, and there was many drunk guy in the lobby with s** worker.

Perhaps, this is not something rare in Manila. Perhaps everywhere is just the same.

However, this is very UNcomfortable.

Be ware with taxi drivers. Make sure they turn on the meter before you get in.

Readers keep this in mind:To prevent being fooled by dishonest taxi drivers who would pretend that they dont know where the exact location of the hotel is, tell them to take you to GREENBELT 3. everyone knows this place and the hotel is just infront of the entrance of greenbelt 3 and the fare would be around 120-150 pesos from the airport.( I dont know why they wouldnt know where this hotel is in the first place.. its quite well known. the driver had to stop and ask for directions, we even called the hotel and let them speak to the driver to give him directions but he wasnt able to find it until our taxi fee became 320!!!!!)

Now for my hotel review.

Stayed here with my husband for 5 nights. check in was ok.. there was no line that time so we were accommodated instantly. staff were courteous as expected. too many door personnel though. Its an old hotel and they are doing some refurbishing.

The room: it was quite cozy. The decors are ok. though dated you can see that they were able to maintain it. It just gets dusty.. after we come back to the room even though the house keeping has cleaned it you can see in the table top, even in our laptops that there is dust when u ran your finger on it. asked the housekeeping to vacuum the room but the problem is still there when we got back.. maybe the carpet needs changing..
The sheets and linens are clean..I can attest to that. No bed bugs no stains. the towels and bathrobes are clean and fluffy too so no skin irritation specially for those who have sensitive skin like me. Room size it was spacious enough for 2 people to move around. toilets flush, the sink drains so no problem with that either.

The pool
nice area to just sit and relax, 4 people can swim back and forth at the same time, more than that and it gets a bit crowded. its not temperature controlled but I guess this is because the phils has a tropical climate so pool is only used to cool off...no heating required. Pool bar, we ordered a ham and cheese panini and pineapple smoothie.. service was fast and food tasted good.

the hotel is located in front of the greenbelt complex so tons of choices to eat, drink, and shop.

all in all our stay here was pleasant.. no noise from outside, good size room, working toilets, good facilities and friendly staff.

The hotel is right smack in the middle of Makati. Among several hotels in the area New World is the cheapest. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a wide array of choices.
