Enjoyed a very nice Macchato & Chocolate Crossant. Amidst the not so fresh air outside its a great place to relaxe enjoy free Wifi.

We stayed in a nearby hotel and we're happy to discover this french bakery/pâtissier/restaurant. After travelling for 3 weeks, it was nice to have freshly baked croissants and other french pastries for breakfast. The service was also friendly and the place was also cozy. The price was just right and not on the high-end side.

But during our last visit, several annoying situations have come up.

1. Yoghurt's price on the shelf not matching the register's price.
On the counter, when the lady was punching the prices in the register, we noticed that the price of the yoghurt was 5.00PHP more expensive than what was written on the shelf! This was just a very small amount and could have just ignored it. When I took the attention of the lady she responded that "THEY HAVEN'T CHANGED THE PRICES YET", we disagreed, of course, not because of being thrifty but just being correct.

2. Cashier not well informed of Consumer rights.
The cashier insisted that the price that she should follow is the one that was in the register.

3. Blame it to the Manager.
"They haven't changed the prices yet". I asked the cashier, who are they? The manager she replies.....

4. Employee doesn't have a contact of the manager.
So, it was the manger who has to change the prices. I then asked what the number of the manager was so maybe the problem would be solved.. But the cashier didn't have any single contact number of the manager. Is this possible?

In the end, they just had to do some internal adjustments. In the receipt it was 55.00 PHP for 1 yoghurt and we only had to pay 50.00 PHP. So now comes the payment.

5. Line is Busy! Line is Busy! Line is Busy!
We are paying by card, as it was accepted by the establishment. But the payment couldn't go through because the line was always busy. The cashier have tried it several times and never went through. She already let us eat our breakfast since everything was already getting cold. I left my credit card with the cashier but still the payment cannot be processed. Line is busy... This is not their problem, we know, but they should do something about it because their establishment is also a client to the credit card bank.

The cashier called the Chef or the supervisor at that time.. We've thought that she might have a solution for us. But she came in saying the same thing as the cashier has told us. We were wondering why would the cashier call her superior if her superior also cannot solve the issue??

So, in the end. We just paid in cash and left the restaurant saying that this problem will be reported somewhere... somehow...
During the entire discussions, the cashier remained her poise, and always replied very friendly, which was very good. We think that the problems boil all down to poor management. The management should control the prices, should train staff in solving issues, should file complaints on the bank that does their credit card transactions and most importantly being reachable anytime.
