its the best italian restaurant in boracay! we had pizza, tartufo, arrabiata. all the best! the place has a nice ambiance that look expensive but just the same price compared to the other famous italian restaurant in boracay that's crowded where i ate also but was no so happy.

“Italian Served”
Reviewed May 4, 2012

The restaurant allows much space for talking besides the eating. Begin with an excellent promiscuto but make sure that you reiterate that the melon is sweet. The lapu-lapu fish is excellent particularly the way they fry it at the right crispness that goes well with the spinach. My friend has a small thinly sliced steak which was acceptable but not really one should write home about. The service is excellent and the chardonnay line which they offer is quite good. I would return but be with mates that are much more experimental in eating. If there are only 2 of you go for the round tables with a slight floor lift... they will know what you mean

“decent restaurant”
Reviewed April 11, 2012

By Manila standards this is an excellent restaurant. The ambiance is good, the restaurant is clean and nicely furnished, and the service is properly trained, attentive but discreet. The food is tasty and well presented and the wine list is sufficient. The quality is perfectly reasonable and remains consistent across visits, with no egregious surprises. I would highly recommend the place if you want a low risk, decent restaurant experience with no significant downsides. The place is a bit pricey for what it offers, but I would gladly pay to avoid the uneven performance one can encounter elsewhere.

“Caruso Re-Visited: Part 1.”
Reviewed April 4, 2012

I first went to Caruso 4 years ago and was not very impressed. Now, I have to confess to being an Italian foodie. I've been lucky enough to dine at some of the great Italian restaurants in London as well as Milan, Rome, Florence and "Chiantishire". I have yet to find a decent Italian restaurant in Makati. So I went to Caruso last week expecting medocrity. It was for a business lunch so I ordered very conservatively: An Arugula Salad, Pasta, a glass of Pinot Grigio and a Double Espresso. The salad was generous with fresh leaves and shavings of good parmensan. The dressing was light and tasty but the tomatoes still had that tasteless, white core so typical of the local variety. The pasta was exactly as I had hoped if just a tad watery. The white wine was very pleasant and the coffee first rate. The total price - reasonable.
I've called this review "Part 1" because I am now tempted to return to Caruso for a more challenging selection of dishes (and a bottle of their Ribolla which, for the uninitiated, can be one of the finest white wines to ever grace an Italian dinner). After that: Part 2.
