“Good place to stay”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

I stayed for 17 days in the Picasso apartment. My check in was smooth, the room was clean, bright and nice. In my opinion there was not enough storage room was very small in the room. Bathroom was alright with all standard amenities was there. Housekeeping staff has done a great job. The only point what I was not satisfied was the breakfast buffet. The coffee was not fresh brewed, everyday the same juices, cold cut was not appealing and not even child ( food safety), bread quality could be improved as well, sometimes the fruits was in lower quality as well. hot food was cooked fresh to order what was ok. i had actually for every day breakfast included but after a while I stopped to go the buffet. I also ordered twice room service once a rib steak and an other steak I was not at all satisfied with the food quality for the price what you pay for.. In front of door there is a chain de rotisserie signage so in my opinion this should show for high quality and good tasty food. I'm actually very fussy about good food.
The concierge and front office staff was very helpful and friendly. In general it's a good place to stay very close to the city, easy access to the park. I would be back there for my next stay in Manila

Great hotel. On a not too busy, one way street in Makati. Close to the Ayala Triangle. Rooms are nicely sized and always very clean. Staff are friendly. The restaurant on the ground floor is okay, but their service is amazing. Particularly the staff during the breakfast shift. Great facilities including Gym and swimming pool. Overall, the place it feels quite modern.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on LP Leviste st side.

The location of the hotel is good but there is no easily visible signboard which makes it a bit difficult to spot the place if you are going there for the first time. Though I had the exact address with me,the cab driver had trouble locating it and had to go around the place a couple of times, enquire with people around before bringing me to this place.

The rooms are clean and spacious with a large, comfortable bed. Interiors are good and slightly different from what you find in other hotels. The room has a small cooking area but no cooking utensils are given. You have to place a separate request and they give you some utensils. Since the utensils were very basic, standard ones, I did not understand why one needs to ask for them separately.

The buffet breakfast could have been better. Not much variety to choose from.

There is a 7-eleven store closeby within 5 mins walking distance from the hotel. An Indian restaurant and a money changer are also there adjacent to the 7-eleven shop.

Located on a quiet street in Makati, it a very clean, boutique hotel. The hotel is small but I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the room and the price - $93 incl of vat & tax.
The bathrm was very clean (1st thing I look at when I enter a hotel room). The decor was crisp and modern. The restaurant had good food. Service was great. Everyone is super friendly and always willing to help. The waiter was quite knowledgeable about the wines. I would defintely
recommend this hotel.

My Company booked me into the Picasso in Makati during my recent trip to the Mining Exhibition in Manila. Check in was slow with too many personal questions being asked which were unnecessary seeing as the booking was made in our Company name, I don’t like to give my personal telephone numbers and details out to Hotels, as am sure they would just be used for marketing purposes without your prior approval.
The room which was a normal deluxe room I believe looking at the website pictures (Madrid Studio) was very impressive, very modern and spacious, it has a small cooking area with sink, Hotplate , Microwave Fridge, nice bathroom with fantastic shower, very powerful and lots of water which I really like
Decided the first night just to order room service food, have to say am very disappointed with this, very small and basic menu and well overpriced, the next night tried something different and was also very disappointed, I should have just ordered a safe Steak, but at 1500 Pesos (even though the Company would pay) decided that also was well over priced, had a burger, again homemade and disappointed, so just put that down to a poor in room Menu as everything else I was happy with.
The next night decided to go down to the restaurant on the Ground floor, again here the menu was not that impressive, very limited choice, but decided on the set house menu and ordered a Mulligatawny Soup and Steak and mash.
Wow, what a change!! Lovely soup and a lovely Steak followed by a very nice little sweet and a coffee, Ha, Now I have it sorted, no room service just go down to the restaurant and eat.
Last night there, Down to the Restaurant I go and order again the house menu exactly the same as the night before, Hmmm, Soup same as the night before and nice, but the steak, well it looked like an offcut from what was served the night before, don’t get me wrong, it was still very tasty but absolutely tiny !! I kid you not it was maybe 4 Square Inches! 2 Inches by 2 Inches, Tiny!!! Hmmm, why can’t there be any consistency???
Ok that part is done, now onto the location, Makati is the Business Hub of Manila and VERY busy, the traffic here is an absolute nightmare and that is an understatement! The Expo was at the Sofitel maybe a few Kms away, but after the conference was finished each night the trip back to the Picasso took nearly 2 Hours each time!!! What a nightmare, how do people do this each morning and night?
All in all a nice Place to stay, Nice rooms, Crazy Traffic though!!! Suggest eating somewhere else maybe?

Good two night stay. Hotel staff very friendly. Attached restaurant was good although one night I had an unplanned reservation for dinner and they couldn't cancel an order I placed just two minutes before and therefore charged me for it. That was my only complaint.

As far as boutique style hotels go this was quaint and cosy.
