“Home Sweet Home”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2014

The Makati Apartelle continues to be our home away from home.....I spent a great deal of time here during 2013 and early 2014. My partner and baby girl along with her grandmother paid a recent visit there as well. The Makati Apartelle is located in a typical Filipino neighborhood----staying here allows you to enjoy Metro Manila while saving a great deal of money. You can shop at the nearby market as well as grocery stores....Shopsmart/Shopwise/SM Hypermart/Rustans/Waltermart etc etc etc.....The staff is very kind and attentive. The cleaning girls take great pride in keeping the place clean......Tess is full of historical knowledge.....they really make you feel like family. There is a water store directly across the street....need laundry done? Just ask the staff where the best place is.....Fat Dragon is a very yummie/affordable nearby place to eat/have a beer.....Need a trike? Ask for RANDY.....Tell everyone Nicole's papa sent you.......GREAT PLACE TO STAY......friendly people. SAFE/CLEAN/AFFORDABLE...

Room Tip: If you want to see the people......stay on the streetside.....want quiet? stay on the back side...al...

We spent 3 nights here in December 2013, the place was clean and staff was nice :). Only hard thing was to find the place when arriving at dark, since they don't have any signs at the front door (which I guess is just a good thing to avoid outsiders coming there). For that reason, print out the instructions for taxi driver (we at least got the instruction after booking the place).

Since we were there during Christmas season time, it was almost impossible to catch a taxi from there... Even the staff members didn't manage to have one by phone (but I think it was the same situation everywhere during that time).

Our room was clean (and it was cleaned every day), big and the price was nothing. I highly recommend this place, if you want to stay in a comfortable place in Manila!

I always come back to stay at makati apartelle, been 5 years now running and it still stays the best budget option in Manila. For a P1000+ you get a nice room with ac, hot shower, cable tv, small kitchenette with a table for 3 and a little living room to entertain if you will have people over. I love the location too, a bit out of the business area and more in a residential area with small shops, bakerys, bars etc. Still close enough to walk into greenbelt or anywere else in Makati, I always felt safe walking around there, even after dark. Last time we where there they also helped us with a nanny so we could leave our baby and go out by our selves wich was highly aprettiated.

Room Tip: go down kayalaan ave and have a look in the south cemetery, a cool experiance. And if you want to se...

It is very nice and clean . I feel very safe and it is very quiet and feels like you are home. It is not so big but it is good for comfortable accomodation. They are very pleasant and always there to help. I recommend this apartelle for any one who wanted to stay on a nice and comfortable place in Makati. Not too far from Makati Commercial centers and they are near to groceries and market. I attended my high school reunion in Makati and I feel very safe when I went home. I really would recommend this to any tourist from any other countries. This is not a five star hotel but for sure your belongings is safe and the service is very excellent for only a very affordable price. Also they have a neighbor in front of their hotel that do laundry.

Room Tip: I got the ground floor one and it is still very quiet and the A/C is fine.

I am a bit late in writing this review. After spending a year back home in the United States I returned to the Philippines and met my 3month old daughter for the first time. My daughter was born with a very rare birth defect to her right eyeball (google baby born one eye randy economy and you can read about her) and we needed to bring her to see an eye specialist (Dr. Javate) here in Metro Manila. My wife, daughter along with her grandmother actually stayed here when they came for the first appointment (February). The staff treated my family as though they were family-----they staff truly cares about their guests. With that said, WE stayed here in early March and have returned AGAIN while my daughter is undergoing some medical procedures. Last week I was in Butuan, Mindanao and met an American film maker----I suggested that he stay here. To my surprise he arrived last night with his film crew. The Makati Apartelle really makes you feel at home and we always seem to run into someone we have met. My only complaint is that since so many people now know about the Makati Apartelle, it can be difficult at times to reserve a room----even for us!!!! However, the staff always does what they can. If offered/or requested, the staff can suggest another place to stay. MAKATI APARTELLE..........THANK YOU

Room Tip: I suggest a room in the back---quiet.........if you have children or traveling with elderly people t...

Nice small apartment hotel. It is not a star hotel so do not expect much. It is good enough for the price. Fairly well maintained and very clean. It is out of the way and taxi drivers could not find it. Two block walk to find a taxi. THey were supposed to have arranged for an early morning taxi for me to go to the airport but it never came and they could not find another so I had to walk and wait to find a taxi. Owners very nice. Don't take credit cards. Very secure. If you are on a budget or just cheap like me, this a good option. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: No elevator. All walk up. All rooms are acceptable.

Makati Apartelle has huge rooms that are basically mini-apartments. It is in suburban Manila close to the airport and Makati malls. The place is very secure and friendly. There is a phone in the room with a list of delivery services, and you can also get an in-room massage. A couple of blocks away is a large intersection with fast food places and a 7-11. Towels and a small soap in the bathroom, a fridge in the kitchenette and a TV with English channels in the bedroom. AC and a big celing fan in the bedroom as well. The 7-11 sells lots of sachets of soaps, shampoos and other things you may want. The place can be tricky for taxi drivers to find. The staff will give you a useful map to help there, and a good landmark to learn is the big ShopWise supermarket - you can tell the taxi driver to head for ShopWise Makati and direct him from there. Clean and comfortable with decent wifi.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the street - those facing the street are a lot noisier.
