I have stayed at this Holiday Inn several times and never been disappointed. Staff is always accomodating and pleasant. They listen to our needs and make recommendations while giving us the best possible price. Good location to Finger Lakes region. Nice pub in hotel wih good food and cold beer.

Very disappointing - and just about ruined our weekend.

Don't be fooled by the picture of the HIAubun that accompanies the ad - it's taken from a peculiar angle. When you drive up to the hotel, it's a standard rectangular box sitting on North Street. The room itself was fine - large, spacious, and clean. But -

The interior atrium looks like an industrial warehouse that has stucco siding and terraces surrounding an interior pool. While the pool closes at 10PM, prepare yourself for loud schools/community groups/other individuals to loudly thrash about until 10PM. The hard reverberant walls of the atrium echo the sounds loudly into your room. Romance? Forget about it. In fact, you'll even have to turn your TV up.

It gets worse - rowdy, drunk folks hopped the short white fence that encloses the pool and had a drunken party until 2AM on the second night we were there. My wife and I were up all not, and believe me, it was not an enjoyable experience. Again, whatever sounds of splashing, thrashing, palying, yelling, brawling are going on in pool are the sounds you hear in your room.

The lights on the terrace/patios are always on. This mean that unless you pin/tape or otherwise adhere the window curtain to the wall, you've got a bright light coming into your room.

This hotel frequently has rooms listed for 33%-50% off at typical discount web sites. It's not hard to see why. Other family members in town for this weekend event stayed at the new Hilton in town and had a quieter experience.

Had I known, I too would have spent the extra money.

I had a very enjoyable experience at the Auburn Holiday Inn while at the Alliance Women Spring Refresh. I stayed with one of the other ladies from my church and we agreed that the room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again! The banquet room was very well done and the staff outdid themselves to accommodate our needs. The food was delicious!

Room Tip: Our room was away from the pool so noise was not an issue as we were on the second floor on the very...

A typical Holiday Inn with a nice indoor atrium including an indoor heated pool. A nice Irish pub inside. There was a spa room and a hairdresser too but definitely not in the same league as a true spa resort. Yet, it wasn't a motel either.

Rooms were average and comfortable. Easy upgrades were done like the television, bathroom fixtures, pillows, and bed but the walls, ceiling, and bathroom tub are old. The bathroom door looked typical for the 1980's. Bathroom ceiling had mold on it. Sink filled with water from an obvious clog. The battery that enables the key card to open the door required charging (I couldn't get into my room at one point). Weird, but the window curtain couldn't be drawn like it was designed not to be drawn.

Yet, the rooms were clean, the staff was nice, and the place was quiet. A nice place to stay when on a business trip in Auburn but not a place for vacation. LOL - who would vacation in Auburn?

Rooms are good size and comfortable. There are rooms that have balconies overlooking the pool area, so if you are traveling with kids you may want to request one. Envision Salon is located inside the hotel and provides great service!!!

We had a three days family mini-vacation in the area for Easter. The price was very reasonable and the personnel very accommodating. The hotel was clean, we enjoyed the inside pool and the exercise room. We spent a day shopping at Waterloo outlets, 30 min. away. Not much to do nearby but we enjoyed the local restaurant for the breakfast ( a bit expensive) and the Irish pub (reasonable priced). We reserved a non-smoking room, the room we got had a cigar smell but got another one right away with a free breakfast to compensate for the inconvenience.

This hotel was very average for a holiday Inn. The facilities were nice but older. Check in was smooth and nice people at the front desk. Sleep was fine and clean room. I would definetly stay again at the newer holiday inns but would have appreciated a lower rate for an older hotel.
