“Good food service can improve”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2014 via mobile

We were here for a quick meal early in the evening on a Sunday. We were seated promptly and our waitress came to get our orders for drinks and was very friendly and chatty. She even brought two Rieslings for me to try before ordering. Everything was going well but throughout the meal service became slower and slower and by the time we ordered the dessert it was glacial. We nearly walked out before the dessert arrived. All said the food was tasty and well presented even though they were out of many items on menu. We ordered the baked clams to share and my husband ordered the wood fired pizza. My daughter and i ordered their famous raviolis. I ordered the mushroom and she ordered the asiago arugula. Both were very good. The tiramisu was great when it arrived. The waitress said they had founders day and race at the w/e and were very busy. Needs to improve on many levels. Has potential to be a fantastic restaurant Take your chance here.

“Does the quality of food outweigh the miscues?”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2014 via mobile

After giving this restaurant ample time to get its feet solid on the ground, we finally decided to give this Italian restaurant a spin. We showed up at the very start of dinner service, 5PM, on a Sunday evening. We were the only ones on the premises (important point to follow). Our menus were promptly delivered to our table but unfortunately it took another 15 minutes to see anyone resembling the wait staff. Sadly, things went downhill from here. When we were finally given an opportunity to order, we chose a veal parmesian and a chicken marsala dish. About an hour and 15 minutes later our meals came...except the marsala somehow turned into a parmesian. Normally you would expect at least an acknowledgment of the error and an offer to remake tne dish to be at minimum what was ordered. Assuming that waiting over an hour for a botch job would only lead to another hour to remedy the situation, we chose to muddle through. There was nothing in the form of an apology, offer of a free coffee or dessert or even a percentage off the final bill to compensate for the inconvenience. It was also comical to watch, given the troubles we encountered, another table suffer from a similar error in communication amongst the staff. I probably should also mention the mens room was absent of paper towels and toilet paper, a mere 10 minutes into dinner service. The caveat is the food that did arrive was a actually well presented, quite tasty and on par pricewise with other restaurants of the genre in the area. But does the quality of the food somehow make up for an evening of obvious missteps and curious omissions given how long this restaurant has been open to get such basic things right?? You can make your own conclusion but for us, not likely soon.

“Authentic Italian food in auburn”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2014

This place is like a piece of New York City transported to auburn, but with good service and much more reasonably priced. Every dish I have had there has been well seasoned and beautifully presented. Friendly and attentive staff. Bistro atmosphere. Very good brick oven, wood fired pizzas. Definitely try on

“Nice and fun place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2014

Live music, great bartenders, and nice atmosphere. Highly recommend the oven-fired pizzas. WOW! Pasta dishes were good too. This place couldn't seat us for awhile because we went without a reservation. We went to the bar to eat dinner and the bartenders handled all the drinks, the service bar, and entertained us. Everything was great!

“Pretty good!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2014

I've been here twice recently. I believe the restaurant is fairly new. It has a cool inside, and nice bar, it's down a little side street and has a few outdoor seats which are nice. I've sat both inside and outside and got the tortellini, it was great both times. The caprese salad was OK. I'll definitely be back.
