A Wicher Garden Bed & Breakfast
Ranked #2 of 5 Auburn B&B and Inns

We stayed in the Garden Room for four nights in July 2012 and really had a fantastic time. The room was appointed beautifully. I really enjoyed being able to walk out the front door of the unit onto a nice outdoor porch with great Adirondack chairs.

Breakfast and Fellowship where awesome.

We searched for hotels...they were booked for graduation so we took what we could get. What we got was better than any hotel could ever offer. Very private, very well kept, excellent food and Gail and Gary were both very hospitable when needed but also allowed for all of the privacy we wanted.

I highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast.

Thanks Ken! I am so glad you enjoyed your visit to our area. I especially like to hear that you found your experience at a Bed & Breakfast a much more enjoyable stay than that of a standard hotel/motel stay. We hope that in future travels you and your lovely wife will seek out B&B's for a much better visiting experience.

Who wouldn't want to spend a few nights in a quiet house on lovely property where breakfast is a feast served by delightful hosts?

Needed some serious relaxation after a hectic week and this was the place. Gail and Gary are the perfect hosts and happily took my last-minute reservation. Their inn is designed to make guests welcome and comfortable. The location is just right, on the edge of town, so that you can choose the quiet or take in historic sites. Bed and bath are luxurious. House dog and house cats know their limits and are also perfect hosts.

And Auburn is a must with it's numerous historic sites and charming downtown. As an arts and theatre community, there's really no end to the list of entertaining things to do.
The changing seasons mean you have to visit more than once to see it all.
What more could you ask for?

My husband surprised me with two nights at Wicher Garden for our 5-yr anniversary in mid-September. We had never stayed at a B&B before, and we were more than pleasantly surprised with this one. Gail and Gary are gracious and accomodating in all aspects. They have extensive knowledge of the area and go above and beyond to make sure that your stay is an enjoyable one.

We stayed in the Rose Suite, a wonderful room with a king bed, sitting area with gas-burning fireplace, and a jacuzzi tub for two in the bath. It was so quiet and peaceful at night, the perfect spot for getting away from our hectic life raising two young girls.

Wicher Garden was only a 15 minute drive to the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail, which we enjoyed on the Sunday of our trip. Lots of wonderful wineries and gorgeous scenery. It was also a quick drive into downtown Auburn, where we had a fabulous meal at Moro's Table (recommended by Gail).

Now to the BEST part of staying at Wicher Garden: the breakfasts! Gail truly makes it her mission to deliver a healthy, delicious and inspired meal each morning. Our first morning we enjoyed fresh strawberries and bananas with yogurt and granola, followed with freshly baked, still warm from the oven, pumpkin muffins, and ended with a delicious egg casserole accompanied by fresh sausage patties and slices of tomato from the local farmer's market. The second morning was fresh peaches from the farmer's market served simply over vanilla yogurt. Then we had a warm, freshly baked pineapple bread with a yummy hot glaze poured over it! And then there were apple-cinnamon pancakes made with fresh apples from a local orchard, topped with powdered sugar and warm maple syrup. Perfect! I can't say enough about the quality of the meal and the obvious love that Gail puts into every aspect of her cooking.

I would highly recommend Wicher Garden to anyone travelling to the Auburn area. Gail and Gary have created an inviting, comfortable, and hospitable atmosphere through years of research and hard work. We couldn't have asked for more for a first B&B experience.

Room Tip: There are only four rooms, it is very quiet here! The Rose Suite is the only one with a king bed tho...

My wife and I recently spent 3 nights and 4 days at this friendly, welcoming and comfortable B & B. Gary and Gail could not have been more hospital. The breakfasts were outstanding and we totally enjoyed the opportunities to converse with our hosts before, during and after the meal!! They gave us great information on sites, restuarants and wineries. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return at some point in the future. We would not hesitate to recommend this B & B. The Auburn area and surrounding laks have so much to offer and the countryside was just starting to change into its autumn colors. That just added to our great experience!!
