“Still quiet and private beach to swim”

If you;re looking for not crowded beach near manila, this still is the best place. The grandeuor of this place decades ago remains while you visit the main lobby.just percieve it as remains of history like corregidor.you're here for swimming then beach is clean and a little more private' if you're going overnight take the apartelle, more nicer than the beachhouse.foods is ok,just like fastfoods.good thing is you can bring your own food if you want.this is not well maintained coz of some feud with the owner and the govt( check on the history}. over all this is still a nice place to stay and relax. you're coming here help the workers who still stays to help this place go on.

Room Tip: get the apartelle, its more quieter and cozy

In the 80s Puerto Azul resort and golf course was in its prime. A number of international golf tournaments were even held in its beautiful rolling 19 hole golf course. It is such a shame that the resorts management went through a lot of problems( some with government) , they have totally neglected this lovely place.
Several years ago, the sprawling resort, was a venue for conferences and family excursions. Now it is a "ghost town". I was there recently to meet a long lost relative from the Navy who was visiting the Naval Station in Ternate, and Puerto Azul was the only place i know that is presentable for my guests. So I told them to meet me at the restaurant in Puerto Azul. Oh boy was I surprised when i entered the resort. The main building of the resort looked forlorn with its run-down roof and fading paint on the walls of the building. There was just one receptionist in the Hall. She pointed to me where the only opened restaurant was; by the beach. I did not dare enter the used to be lovely reception hall because it was dimly lit and looked spooky. So we ate at the restaurant by the beach and saw that there were a few beachcombers there. The food was so so and the price high. What a sorry sight to see Puerto Azul. I had a few happy memories to remember though, but surely I will not recommend this place to anyone........

Hello, i was a guest at Puerto Azul resort and was disappointed. The price was 4000 pesos per night but the beach house was extremely run down. There was a peep hole in the room from the outside. No shampoo or other cosmetics. The food was 1000 pesos but was given only rice and four pieces of bony chicken for two. No vegetables were offered. Trash was washing up on shore as i was swimming. The service was slow it took one day to get a refrigerator in the room and the room needed to be cleaned. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
