It's better to stay in the nearby hotels than this one. First, the security guards are rude! They should be taught on how to treat their guests and their prospective guests. Second, the staff or the folks in the reception needs to learn how to smile and to entertain their new arrived guests' questions well. Not treat their guests' queries as some nuisance that deserves short, curt, and vague answers. This ruined my experience here even if the rooms are ok. Apart from a averagely maintained golf course, nothing is special here. Oh and the Hamada restaurant, food there is delish.

My parents love Baguio, and we ALWAYS stay in this hotel whenever we are in Baguio. Everything else is superb - cleanliness, service, food - except for the guards! The guards are VERY DISRESPECTFUL to guests who are looking for a smoking area near the entrance/driveway area. Since I'm already used to staying in this hotel, I've memorized the designated smoking areas but I was surprised during my last stay. There were no longer trash bins in the driveway area where one could smoke. The guards will make you leave the driveway no matter what - it was raining really hard and they wanted me to transfer to the far & uncovered parking area just to smoke. What angers me is their rude behavior - I could hear the guards exchanging insults and unacceptable comments about me even if I already transferred to the parking area while being soaked from the rain. To top it off, at night I found a group of three smoking on the entrance/driveway area (where I was rudely asked to leave), and the guards did nothing about it - they never even asked them to transfer! It was rude, horrible, and unacceptable how they treated me,vs how they did NOTHING when the other 3 guests did the same! Will never go back to Baguio if the family insists that we stay in this hotel again. For the similar price, I'm sure you could find better service in other newer hotels in the Camp John Hay area like The Manor. There is also a new boutique hotel (Le Monet Hotel) within Camp John Hay that looks very promising. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially to smokers even if the rooms, the food, the service of the other staff, and the ambiance are actually good. Baguio Country Club, It's quite sad that I can see all the effort you put in to improve your 100-year-old hotel, but the disrespectful guards ruin it all. They need more training in terms of customer service and respect! Improve on that and everything else would be perfect.

The trip to Baguio from Manila was quick and easy, thanks to the highway system that made the trip a pleasant short trip. We stayed in a cottage with three bedrooms, 2 full T&B and 1 powder room, kitchen amenities, dining table good for 6, and a fireplace in the sala.
The whole Baguio Country Club and our cottage is a blast from the past, the main dining area of the club house is right beside hole #1 and #10, the breakfast buffet is quite good, the price is reasonable.
While enjoying our food, our senses of smell, touch and sight partakes on smell of pine, cool breeze and beautiful greens, pine trees and flowers. A treat for someone like me who lives, work in the metropolis, a word of caution though, the shangri la feeling ends when you venture to downtown of the city, there your nightmare begins.
The last time I went to Baguio was 15 years ago and after my beautiful experience here, I won't be a stranger anymore in the city of pines, especially here at Baguio country club, oh before I forget, never leave this place without tasting it's famous raisin bread and banana bread.

Room Tip: If staying in the rooms ask for the view of the golf course, you will be spared from noise of vehicl...

We stayed at the main hotel and the facilities are good. We had a two-bedroom suite, which consisted of one room with two single beds, a living area and a second bedroom with a king-sized bed. We had two full bathrooms (toilet and shower) and one powder room, provided with the appropriate toiletries and with all fixtures and hot water working properly. There were three TV sets, one in each room. Our room rate came with a buffet breakfast at the veranda. Food was good. Of course, their bread and pastries are one of the best.
I particularly like their flower arrangements. in our suite there were four small vases and a small arrangement that was creatively done. The arrangements in their lobby are tasteful and artistic.
They have wifi but it is practically useless. The staff seem to be aware of this since they spontaneously offered to install free LAN cable when I said I had problems connecting to their wifi.

Walking into the country club is like traveling back in time to the Baguio of my childhood days. The log cabin inspired facade is still present as well as the cool breeze and pine scent that welcome you to the hotel. It is not a 5 star hotel by any means but a place where time stands still as you take in nature in all it's glory. The highlight of the day is watching the golfers tee off from the verandah while enjoying your freshly baked breads and yummy corned beef hash. The Japanese Resto is also not to be missed and is arguably the best restaurant in Baguio. This boast is backed up by the numerous awards it has earned proudly hanging in their wall. If you are looking for a place with 5 star amenities, you may want to look elsewhere. However if you appreciate old world charm and yearn for a quite and relaxing vacation, then drive up to the country club.

Room Tip: Get a room with a fairway view

Been there done that many times in BCC as a club member guest. Lets' put it this way every time I'm in BCC my food binge goes spiral.BCC's signature angus beef hamburger and buffet breakfast are worth coming back over and over. The best Baguio longanisa I ever tried can be found in BCC!Weekend Japanese buffet dinner is a hit for BCC guests expect long lines before it opens at 6pm. GYM and heated pool facilities are at par with 5 star hotels. If you are non BCC member expect minimal usage fees.Non-BCC member must always bring with them BCC guest card to be able to use ALL facilities.Room reservations are a hit or miss.NOt all rooms are renovated yet.BCC Pastry shop is a must stop for visitors.Famous for its raisin, bananana and cinnamon breads.Their slices of blueberry and sugar free cheese cakes are fabulously delicious!Just spending 2N-3D stay @ BCC without leaving the premises is heaven sent.Extra perks ..Saturday anticipated mass @6pm and BCC garden sells cheap plants and vegetables. Please be informed that BCC have dress codes.
