If your kid loves horses, head to Wright’s Park. For a standard fee (200PHP for half hour, 300PHP for an hour), you can ride a horse around the park. There is no haggling for better prices (a large sign indicates prices) and there was no choice for horses but they do make sure that you are matched with a horse of the right size and temperament. Another horse handler will ride with your kid unless your child is already a trained horse-person.
We were approached as soon as we got off the cab and it looked like they were all taking turns approaching tourists as they came to the horse-riding/rental area. So if your heart is set on that my little pony look-alike, you might have to be assertive and ask for it.
The reasons I can’t give this a five star rating include the following:
-There is no designated place to relax while waiting for your kid but there is a small shack where you can buy drinks (but you'll have to ask! since there is no signage and it looks very informal/temporary set-up)
-Muddy areas meant horse-riding was limited to a small space if you choose the half-hour ride
This is not the place for a horse-riding snob to hang out but it’s a wonderful place for little kids (and adults) who’ve always wanted to indulge in the occasional horse-riding experience.
