“Great new place to stay in Baguio City”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

A new hotel in Baguio City in-front of Teacher's Camp. Rooms are spacious, bed are great and comfortable for a good sleep. Baguio is a very crowded place nowadays, if you want a spacious hotel at a good price, then this is the place to stay. It has ample parking space too. The food is OK and it has a small playground for the kids.

Room Tip: If the crowing of the roosters are not music to your ears, select the inner rooms.

If you are looking for a place in Baguio that's relaxing and not crowded, then this is the place... The rooms are very spacious and each room has a kitchenette. Space is well thought of. It doesn't have a cramped feeling reasonably priced too. The only downside is you will hear roosters crowing, at first it can be disturbing then you get used to it -- guess its part of the charm.

Room Tip: The sofa in each of the rooms are convertible to beds and they don't charge for it...

the service was poor you have to keep on following up on your request for them to quickly respon and the sofa bed is the worst!!! You can already feel the spring on the sofa bed and when we ask for an extra mattress they gave us a comforter instead i am like is this the quality for the price we paid?! Anyways i dont recommend this hotel

Manila to Baguio took 8 hours to drive due to road works and simply the long distance, but upon finally reaching our destination, the azalea residences in Baguio proved to be worth the trip as this place is quite impressive.
The room was spacious big living room with a kitchen and all that come with it fryi g pans and all, a master's bedroom and another small one, 2 bathrooms which were clean and new. Fresh towels good for three, in both. The restaurant offers good breakfast too.

The highlight was of course the cool weather the fresh air and the good food in and around Baguio but that would be a different review.

We were so impressed that we are going to book again for jAnuary of next year for our 14th wedding anniversary!

Booked 1st night using group buying voucher & 2nd night using Azalea's rate. Room is nice with functioning kitchenette, fluffy pillows & bath towels. Upon check-in, we were already afvised that wi-fi was down. We didn't mind that we were placed facing a chicken coop & houses with several clothesline as our view. The only irritating fact was that those chickens never stopped crowing! Maybe because we used a discounted voucher but still, that should be a red flag!
Nonetheless, my kids enjoyed the playground and the room. Oh, they have superb customer service! From the reception, Darwin who had been running around assisting unloading/loading guests (night &day!). To the restaurant, Princess who was very pleasant and accommodating. To Guest services,I asked for extra blanket & pan delivered in a minute.
Definitely coming back but will make sure no chicken crowing!

Going down through Leonard Wood Road you’ll see a sign in front of Teacher’s Camp showing the direction to Azalea. It’s a small road going up an incline, a rather unassuming picture but upon reaching the crest you will find this cozy new hotel.

First, the downside. The bed in the De Luxe room is smaller than what you see in pictures. What looks like a queen sized bed is actually a double. This hotel is still new and parking in the basement reminds you of that fact each time; construction fumes (dust and paint) will overwhelm you. Getting anything room service-wise through the front desk will take forever, if at all. We asked for extra beddings and a pillow for the househelp and that took about half an hour (and even then it was really just a blanket and a pillow, the cleaning staff did a far better job by making up the sofa bed). We woke up one afternoon will all electricity turned off and were told by the front desk that the key card needed revalidation. They promised to send staff up to the room to do it. Half an hour later I was downstairs to get the key card revalidated myself, no staff ever came up. In-room wifi is poor; you could probably connect to one or two net pages before the “cannot display the page” comes up on screen. There is no service elevator so the hotel staff and their carts usually accompany guests in the same elevators.

But these things aside, Azalea Residences is one of the best places to get a room in Baguio City. Its new, its nice, its delightful.

You are treated to welcome drinks (Four Seasons) upon your arrival and the bell service is at par with major hotels. There is a lounge at the lobby if one wishes to have some drinks. The Tradisyon restaurant, also located at the ground floor, caters to emptier stomachs. We got the best service in the hotel here at this restaurant. The staff will make sure you are satisfied and happy. Ms. Princess deserves special mention here, as the entire family appreciated her help and hospitality. As for the food, Ive decided to have the Tocino and Daing na Espada with garlic rice for all three breakfast. It was great. Breakfast buffet is also available, with a fairly decent selection.

Going up to Baguio I chose between this hotel and another I saw in the internet. I picked the right hotel.
