I tried Star Cafe after few locals recommended it. This is one of the oldest restaurant in Baguio. It's located in lower Session road, quite easy to find.
The restaurant is clean, the interiors, glassware, and ambiance is definitely 70's. Even most of the waiters I believe was nearing 70 years old. :) it's likely the staff have worked there since it opened... Service was okay, fast and attentive waiters.
The retaurant specializes on Chinese food, Pansit, stir-fry vegetables, short orders and the like. I ordered their special Pancit canton, Camaron rebosado, and their Adobo roll baked by themselves. Food was average, nothing special, but has freshness.. Well when you are in Baguio, most restaurant serves fresh ingredients.
Now that I have tried one of Baguio's local pride, I'd say it was mainly the reasonable prices why people go back. You can get better tasting Chinese food somewhere else, but cannot beat the economical prices at Star Cafe. I commend the owners for maintaining the prices close to 70's era too.. Amazing!
