We visited Tam-Awan Village in Pinsao area last 2009. It was a great place if you love being one with nature. The place gives you the history of the early tribes that lived in the Cordillera area. When you visit the place, be respectful of the place and whatever is shown there.
I recommend that the ones that will visit this place request for a tour guide in order to further understand why the place was preserved like that.

This village is mostly vertical, built on a hillside with many native houses/huts brought from all over the province so visitors can appreciate their handiwork. Be prepared to climb many, many steps, don't go here in the rain because it will be slippery.

everything in tam-awan is not only about the picturesque scenes and trekking experience you can have there with your friends. it's also about the Cordilleran arts and culture preserved through the artworks and the (traditional/indigenous) huts displayed there.
the artists were also very easy to get along with! i will never forget it when i had seven hours chatting and laughing with them! and oh, that was my first time.

a visit here will surely make your travel full-packed :D

There is ART everywhere you look. The garden/grounds area is awesome! Anyone can climb the stone steps and look at the whole village in different angles. A nice place to visit for a quick hour.

Try the pinikpikan for an authentic Igorot experience. Climb up one of the Igorot houses if they are vacant. Or rent one for the night.
