I am a native of the Philippines and I migrated to Canada. I came back to the Philippines for a visit and booked in this hotel planning to stay in for long but the service and the place was so frustrating so I went looking for other hotel to stay in. I settled my account with my Capital One Credit Card and they charged me double! Discovering it after few days when I checked my account on-line then I went to complain but the management did not honor the discrepant transactions and never willing to refund me back what is due. They even said they don't know what is Capital One Credit Card after they allowed me to use and pay for. It was a very bad experience checking into this hotel! I hope this will serve as a caution and a warning for tourists planning to booked into this hotel.

Casa Vallejo Hotel in Baguio is a Charming Old Hotel steeped in History. Rooms are Big and comfortable, reminiscent of staying at home. No Aircon in rooms but that is acceptable if you are in Baguio.

Food at the hotel is Good and service is efficient.

Reservation went without a hitch. The building has its own charm. No aircon in our room but there was a ceiling fan. No worries about it being hot because Baguio was at its coolest. The room I had was facing the main street so noise can get a little loud from vehicular and pedestrian traffic. The heavy drapes helped a little bit. Wifi was pretty good. The dining area was pretty impressive (in size) but they need to refurbish some of the furniture (including the dining chairs) as they are showing their age and have a lot of tears. We were seated by the window and all I could see was how tore up the backside of this building! It detracted from what would have been a nice view. The location had its pros: near SM and walking distance to Session Rd and its cons: it can get noisy.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that does not look out on Upper Session Road.

Situated very conveniently between the two bus stations and a short walk from the city. The entrance lobby is impressive and the dining area beckons invitingly. Unfortunately before you can eat you have to experience the rooms. We took advice from previous reviewers and asked for a very quiet room and got upgraded to a family room which was not near the road. However there was a very musty mouldy smell and it was dark and dismal, fittings were old and in need of upgrade. Staff were very pleasant and helpful but could not fix the wifi which did not work throughout our stay.

But there is the restaurant which is excellent if not a little pricey for The Philippines. Choices were good both local but also from a true international perspective. Staff professionalism was the best we experienced in the whole of The Philippines. Quality dining. It is worth noting that this Hillstation restaurant has a separate management to the hotel. The free breakfast coupon is exchanged in this same restaurant but is only of a value to buy a basic Philippine dish - a more complete meal will require you to top this up.

A great experience if you find yourself in Baguio ( and few do) but it could be so much better if they invested in their rooms.

Casa Vallejo is one of my favorite B&B's up north. Aside from the cozy, hardwood interiors, the warm service keeps me coming back. Rooms are spacious, clean and very comfy. Don't miss having breakfast at the Hill Station Cafe - they serve the best Benguet coffee; and make sure you're seated by the window where the foggy mountain view will greet you. Dinner here is also superb, with live acoustic music on certain evenings, and of course, a view of the Baguio suburbs by night. On weekends, indie films are shown at their film center and bookshop (Mt. Cloud) where you might get lucky and grab a rare book or two. Their spa services are excellent and affordable. You will certainly get a relaxing wind-down after all that walking around the city. Situated at the end of the city's main road (Session Road), the inn is practically close to the major sights - whether driving, commuting or walking, it is easily accessible.

Room Tip: Choose the west-aisle rooms which face away from the street and are quiet. You'll be treated to a foggy view of the mountainside houses in the morning (fog - depending on which season you check in).
