I miss the old Camp John Hay when the air feels that everyone from any level of life is welcome. Now, it feels like it's only for the elite :(

Having said that, I had the chance to purchase some bread and pastries from the manor bakeshop, and they've got one of the best cheesecakes that I've eaten (that's saying something as I've eaten lots and lots!) There are different varieties of cheesecakes to choose from that I can't select only one, so I got at least one of each! Everything was really really good! The price is just right - almost in between other restaurants with good cheesecakes.

Last Dec 23, 2013, My family and I had breakfast in their clubhouse and we ended up taking our lunch also. Nice place to relax and dine since it has a good view of the golf greens. Food and service were great

Camp john hay used to be a well run establishment run by the us military. Since the americans handed it back to the philippine goverment and subsequent privatation making profit has become king.

Gone are the popular attractions like the mini golf and club house replaced by starbucks and factory outlets for designer brands.

Still worth a visit to see the remaining American architecturally designed houses. These houses are probably the only examples of 20th century north American east coast houses in Asia. Sadly these are making way to hotels and McMamsions.

I keep visiting camp john hay at least once every fortnight - it is one of my favourites in Baguio and the walks here never cease to comfort me. It does get a bit crowded (by Baguio standards) on weekends and holidays, but on week days, it is a pleasure. New walks have been added over the past few months around the Bell house and this area is expected to become even better (despite the tree top adventure and zip line - ugh!)

It offers a combination of history, sports, shopping, and outdoor activities. As an old military camp of the Americans, it still houses some of the old buildings that people can visit and explore. They also have hotels and shopping centers inside the premises, and they are famous for having a string of factory outlets of various brands. The place also has a golf course and a zipline ride for people who are looking for something more sporty or adventurous. They also have a picnic area, which is usually frequented by families.
