“Very cheap place to stay”
Reviewed July 3, 2014

Hotel 45 is one of the cheapest hotels in Baguio but has the best location. It is located in upper session road, just besidE SM Baguio. I say its located best because you can still see pine trees and feel the breeze of Baguio. Whereas hotels in town proper near burnham park is already hot and crowded. They have 2 hotels i prefer the new one(annex). You get what you pay for so do not expect a very elegant type of hotel. You can also check for other breakfast options outside the hotel because they breakfast is very bad. But i would still stay in this hotel next time i go back to Baguio.

Room Tip: Choose the room facing the street. You would see pinetrees from thw window

Got a room in their old building for Php900 a night (off peak). No hassle checking in and front desk was helpful enough. WiFi is okay and good signal inside the room. Although I can only check emails and do chat; having trouble with YouTube. I agree with other reviewers that the hotel is full of cctv cameras and that makes me feel safe.

The hotel is a budget type so avoid putting a diva attitude when you go there and expecting a 4-5 star hotel treatment.

I studied in Baguio during my college days and whenever my parents visit me and wanted to stay for the night, we immediately check in this hotel. For only Php 1300, we got ourselves a good room. Not just good, it's great! It provides a view of SM City Baguio as it is strategically located just below the mall. In addition with the room rate, it is inclusive of breakfast. Amenities include Private T&B with heater, Cable TV and Free Wi-Fi.

This is the best budget hotel yet! Perfect for backpackers and tourists that is on a tight budget plan. Bad news though, this hotel is one of the few accommodations that easily filled up or fully booked before or during peak season. So book early if you don't want to spend your shopping money on expensive rooms left.

Checked-in twice at this hotel and so far both stays were satisfying! Our first stay here was 2 years ago and we were just walk-in guests. Front desk attendants were efficient and very accommodating. They delivered our room right away even before the standard check-in time. The room is clean and has comfortable beds. Linens are clean. During that time, I think the rooms were newly renovated. Room amenities are complete, even breakfast is free. For a cheap price, I can't imagine any hotel of the same level can beat that. So every time we go to Baguio, Hotel 45 is the first in our checklist.

Room Tip: Choose rooms at the new building.

My brother and I went to Baguio 3rd week of April 2014 to get out of the intense heat of Manila since it's summer. We just decided for 3 days and 2 nights stay at Hotel 45 which is near SM and just across the busy street of Session Road. Based on the reviews I found online, the hotel is good enough for those looking for a nice place to stay without hurting your pockets. We arrived at the hotel past 3PM after nearly 6 and 1/2 hours of road trip. Though this is not my first time to travel by bus but I found it tiring specially my brother and I came from work the previous night. Upon arrival at Baguio Victory Bus Terminal, we find a cab to take us to our hotel. Since the proximity of the hotel is near to almost every important places, just less than 6 minutes we were able to get there.

After securing our luggages in the taxi we went ahead to the hotel's front desk and check for our reservation. We were greeted by the nice pregnant lady and ask for our names. After confirmation, filling up the forms and paying for the stay up front, the room keys were given, meal stabs plus the RC for the TV. We were assigned at the 3rd floor and the room which is adjacent to the main road as I specifically stated during my reservation. Upon reaching the said floor, we were greeted and guided to our room by another nice lady who we believed is one of the attendants on that building. I was expecting that it's just two typical beds with two or three blankets and pairs of pillow but I was wrong. The bed can be compared to those at five star hotels. The bed has comforters, pillows are compfy enough for you to last for hours of sleep. Their toilet is clean while the whole room is fully furnished. TV may not be big enough but we're not going to stay long in our room anyway and watch movies or series. Though the room does not have any air conditioning but we felt like we have one since one of the windows are open and the cold summer breeze of Baguio is crawling towards it.

Likewise, the place has WiFi with two signals detected so in case we could not connect to the first, we can use the second. The speed is good enough for mobile surfing and checking for email updates. We slept around 830PM and woke up 630AM the next day. We did not hear much noise from the outside during our sleep since the room is far enough from the main road. After fixing ourselves, we went down to the cafeteria to eat. The choices of food may not be excellent but should I say good enough to energize the day. I ordered fried rice with hotdog and scrambled egg with hot tea as drinks while my brother was fried rice with egg and longganisa plus coffee. After eating, taking a bath and fixing ourselves, we're off to our journey to conquer Baguio, LOL!

Due to proximity of the hotel to important places we just walked going to Church, Session Road, Burnham Park, Market Place and SM. It was the next day that we took a cab since Botanical Gardens, Camp John Hay and Good Shepherd Convent are too far to be reached by just walking.

On our last day and check out time, we have not experienced any delay or hassle in leaving. Other hotels normally ask the users to stay for minutes so their attendants can check the room. In case there's any damage or missing property guests are obliged to pay for it. At Hotel 45 we just surrender our keys plus the RC and the receptionist checked for our record and gave us a smile that it's good to go and thanks for staying with them. Their trust to their guests are extremely high.

Overall, I would say that the price of Php 1,100 per night we stayed at the hotel is worth it and good choice for those travellers that love to stay at Baguio for a short period of time without comprimising much of their budget. The place is secure, near shops, establishments and Church. This is a 3 star hotel for us and the comfortability of stay is incomparable. We'll be most likely to stay here again when we go to Baguio this coming December. Ciao!

Room Tip: Choose a room that is adjacent of the main road so you won't hear the loud noises of the vehicle...

Considering the price of the rooms, this hotel is good value for money. Our room was clean and fairly small but perfectly adequate. Hot water available at all times. Fan - no aircon needed in Baguio. WIFI didn't work for us. Not noisy. Beds were comfortable. The other big plus is the hotel's central location - right beside SM shopping mall, also close to where major buses arrive and depart from.
Breakfast is included, filipino style, - if you don't like that, at least you can have a tea or coffee.

we got 2 rooms - both were spacious - and fit an extra bed still with space to move about. they're not very particular with detailed cleanliness of the bathrooms (some towel racks were rusty, telephone shower had stains), and the beds didn't smell like newly washed laundry (maybe because the covers weren't that thick either) but for its price (peak season= 1,700 for a double, 500 for extra bed) and location - walking distance to the market and just right across SM, it was not bad.
rate includes breakfast w/coffee - though with only very limited choices, was served fast.
their main building had a sort of like a chinese fast food that served hot soup and congee, among others, for a very reasonable price (ranging 80-120). for us who were tired from a long trip and didn't care to eat out one evening, it was wonderful to have that convenience ;)
