The staff was very friendly, and the rooms were clean and well attended to. There is no air conditioning, which probably doesn't bother Peruanos, but Americans might feel a bit stuffy. The wifi only rarely worked in my room, but it was fine in the comfortable lobby. The breakfast buffet they offered in the adjacent restaurant was pretty good. Dinners are tasty but service is slow. So, it doesn't exceed all expectations, but I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Room Tip: The elevator is in the back corner, not very close to many rooms. I used the stairs the whole time...

Please don't choose this hotel if you don't want that your backpack would be opened while you are taking a look of the city waiting for your night flight to Lima!
Someone (Who?!said the hotel) has stolen my iPod and my blackberry from my backpack keeping by receptionist of the hotel in a room like all the hotels worldwide!
So I hope that my bad experience help the other traveller in Trujillo.

The rooms were slightly old fashioned and had mysterious locked wardrobes you were unable to get into; however apart from that they were fine and had a TV and Fridge. Bathroom had perfectly adequately functioning fittings etc, and fresh towels and loo roll was provided.

On the downside, the room had no air-con which for us was pretty bad as it was sweltering when we arrived in Trujillo. On reflection I would spring for the better rooms which were only a little extra. Don't get into the mind set of getting everything as cheap as possible, or you will miss out on comfort.

I felt the location was fine - not so close to the main square as to be costly, but still in the thick of the action. Eating out was not a problem as every second building in Trujillo is a cafe, restaurant or shop.

If you don't have the cash for the swish hotels, this is great. There is a restaurant on site and a computer which is free for residents to use. Even the mini bar was relatively cheap. Staff are pleasant and helpful; however be mindful that this isn't Mallorca and brush up on your Spanish.

I don't want to go into details, but I wanted to retract a former good review because no one should be misled into going here based on their previous service and care.

The hotel has since become a disgusting place to stay where lack of cleanliness and lack of service has taken away any pricing and location benefits they once offered.

Good place to stay, 3mins from bus station by taxi, hotel on quite pedestrianised street, comfortable beds, average cleanliness, restraurant on site, good breakfast. Allowed to keep room till 10pm due to getting night bus at no extra charge.( low season.)

This isn't a terrible place to stay, but perhaps my hopes were too high for it. My guidebook spoke highly of the hotel, but I wonder if it was the same place. This place is fairly tired, dirty and run down. The staff and the food were nice, but I really had hopes of a cleaner, more cheery place. Instead I found a room with pink walls (never a good sign), skimpy towels and creaky everything else. If you are good with two stars, this place probably won't seem so bad. If you are looking for something nice, go elsewhere.

This hotel was the worst stay I've ever had anywhere. The bathrooms (3 rooms) were covered in black mold and after nearly 10 times of asking them to change rooms or clean/paint it was still never taken care of. Various days with no hot water and some with NO water at all.

The staff was rude and inconsiderate and treated us and other guests with total indifference about the water situation.

They ran out of food most mornings during breakfast.

They refused to lower the rate even with all of the issues so I had to do so myself by threatening legal action.

This place is absolute garbage!

Too bad too because it's the perfect quaint location.

I wouldn't even recommend this hotel to an enemy!!!!!!!!!
