I initially booked for four nights and extended by 5 more days. This has been one of my best hotel experiences in Peru. . Extraordinary and friendly staff all over, wonderful beds, impeccably clean, excellent breakfast choices. We chose this hotel because it is in the city centre on an old building. The rooms and facilities are all reasonably good, including a swimming pool in the main courtyard. The cooking is good and there is a pleasant terrace overlooking the courtyard on which to eat. The staff are very helpful. It is difficult to fault at the price.
Thank you for taking your time to give us a feedback, we think we are doing good. Anyway we are still planing to do some changes that we are sure you will enjoy it.

Great location on the Plaza, but that was the only positive experience of our stay. Looking at previous Trip Advisor reviews, which mentioned noise from the traffic, we asked for an interior room seeking peace and quiet. What a mistake that was! For some reason the hotel management was under the impression that their guests would enjoy loud, endless 'musak' blaring from speakers at the pool, under our window. So no peace and quiet ..... we had to have our window closed throughout our stay as the music was played well into the evening. We made several requests to turn it down, or off, but these were met with a shrug from reception staff and we were told it was 'part of the experience'. Well, for us this 'experience' was a totally negative one and we would not return. Small room and average breakfast.

We thank you for your comments, we apologize for the inconvenience regarding the volume of the music by the pool, that was not on purpose and we´ll find out responsabilities between the personel involved.
We also took note about the breakfast and we are working to implement a new one with more local and healthy choices.

I spent a single night in this hotel although I have been here twice before a few years back, the accomodation is nice inside a residentail area and within a 10/15 minutes deive from the Trujillo airport, rooms are average with a large king bed but the food at the restaurant is high end. The big round pool in the middle of the building with all surrounding rooms is a beautiful view when you check in at the lobby, highly recommended when in Trujillo for both purposes: leisure and business.

The staff makes this such a warm, friendly place to stay. Jorge greeted us and did everything to make our stay great. Luis, I believe the manager, is extraordinary!!! He helped us SO much in accepting our ADA medical service dog AND he happily phoned ahead to our next hotel, as the language barrier made that hard to do.
Sure, it is an older building, so the plugs aren't as frequent and there are stairs to get to the elevator. BUT, the location allowed us to cross the street to get to the vibrant plaza in front of the hotel. There was some animation every evening, from kids doing the marinera dances to bubbles being blown to a parade on Sunday morning! Fun location!! The shower is great, robes are provided and the rooms are quiet. The staff MAKE this place!
The only negatives, and they didn't bother is---we would book here again!---are:
you must request the sauna be heated up. I made an appt. for that and Carol, at front desk, assured me that at 5 pm it would be ready. Wonderful Jorge showed me there at 5 pm, only to find it cold. Gave up, no time to wait for that appt. to work. No filtered water. First room we were offered had two tiny single beds and no room for anything else [super small room]. I asked for another, and we were given a great room with one single and one double bed in room 315.
Overall, a great experience, thanks to Luis, manager, Jorge, staff, and Daisy at front desk!!!

Attractive building overlooking main square and close to the Cathedral. Standard rooms offer flat screen tv, free wifi, good quality bed linen, air conditioning, safe in room. Rooms are quiet Bathrooms with toiletries & good towels, plenty of hot water. Pressure was a little low in shower. There is a swimming pool in a central courtyard. At the time of our visit (following a recent change of ownership) many of the staff were new so the service was certainly not to the level to be expected of a 4 star hotel. Prices were generally consistent with the market. The breakfast was adequate but not exceptional.
