Jumbo travel planned this trip for us perfectly. Their response on questions was very quick and clear. The trip was a great experience and also the other things they planned for us, like the hotel and the bustrip from Puno to Cusco went smooth. I would recommend them to anyone who is visiting Puno! Thanks!

We booked our tour through a random company on the main road- we didn't even know it was through Jumbo Travel until the tour started. We paid 40 soles without lunch. We weren't informed of how long the boat would take to get there and back- only that we would leave around 7 and return around 5:30.

When we were seated on the boat, we had to wait for awhile, after driving around town picking everyone up... and then we were told our boat would take 3 hours, but we could get a free upgrade to a faster boat. Which is great, but why weren't we informed of two different speed boats from the start?

Our guide was truly lovely- so lovely that I regret not making sure I could spell his name for you to make sure you got him! It seemed like he shared a lot more information with us on Uros than the other guide of another boat did... but the island was a bit Disneyland. We didn't go on the reed boat because it seemed super crowded- but then it felt like we were standing around waiting for everyone to shop afterwards. It's not big. You don't need a lot of time there.

Taquile was nice- not as touristy- but again, some of the group had their lunch included and we didn't. If you didn't have your lunch included it was 20 soles: soup, bread, main dish of fish or an omelet. We heard lunch was expensive, so we actually brought snacks and sandwiches, but it would have been weird not to eat...

I think it was a great tour overall, but be prepared for a little Disney and some "one soles for photo" lines...
