“Puno the passing through town”
Reviewed October 26, 2011

Desk staff not friendly and most unhelpful even thou we had a Spanish speaker talking to them.
They put us in a room on the fifth floor but the noise from the street was loud and went on most of the night.(Not the hotels fault )
Breakfast was okay. Glad to stay one night.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the street.

After three early starts in a row I was very glad to check into the hotel just before 7pm aiming to leave at just after 6am the following morning.

My room was a good sie with a TV with lots of channels and a large very comfortable bed and the bathroom was good too.

One thing I like was they had a shop on the sixth floor by the restaurant that had lots of good quality souvenirs and postcards and stamps.

I alos at at the restaurant as I was very tired and had arguably the best meal of my trip.

My stay was short, enjoyable and relaxing and exactly what I needed to re charge,.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. We had a reasonable sized clean room. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice. My only small complaint was we could hear the lift operating during the night but other than that we were happy.

The staff in the reseption was very polite, nice and willing to help. In the restaurant (at breakfast) the staff wasn't that nice...
The restaurant (and breakfast local) is at the top of the building with a wonderful (really amazing) view
The breakfast was v!ery poor... And the day I had breakfast earlier, they said I could have breakfast (instead of they giving me a bag wirh sandwich and fruit) but in the end there was no fruit nor even coffee...
The room and bathroom was good and big.
Internet free in the top of the building.
The location is perfect (in the very center of Puno)

The hotel is inexpensive, close to good restaurants, and has a decent breakfast buffet. However all the rooms on the street side of the hotel are noisy beacuse of the traffic and their constant horn honking. The door locks are the kind you use for the interior door of a bathroom because they are so easy to break in to with minimal effort. We took all our valuables whenever we left the hotel. The front staff was indifferent. We asked for a taxi for the airport, as I checked out I reminded them of the taxi, and was assured it was on its way. Then 10 minutes after the taxi was suppose to arrive at our urging did they actually call for a taxi.

It's difficult to meissure the standard, it depends what you compare it with. All in all a nice hotel. The staff in the reseption was very polite, nice and willing to help. In the restaurant it seemed like the staff has not learned how to smile yet... It is not very often I experience that my smile and "good morning" is met by a mouth pointing down, -or a back. The first and, I am glad to say, last experience during mye 3 weeks in Peru!!!
The breakfast was simple but tasteful.
The room with bathroom was simple but also nice. Only complaint is that you could hear all activities and talk outside the room. My room was situated near by the hall and reseption area...
