“It's a cute place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2007

Cute place, friendly helpful reception, wonderful view from the enclosed rooftop breakfast area (all windows). The rooms are towards the small size, we were away from the street and it was very quiet so I guess request one of those. The room heaters are big and really put off some heat, it was so nice. It's half a block off the pedestrian street and less than 2blks to the Plaza. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

  • Liked — Comfy beds, cute decorations, felt safe

Stayed here two nights in June 2007. Was on a tour of Peru with Active South America. Our room was really small and had a big window onto the nosiey street below. Not sure how much the rooms cost since it was included in our package cost.

Cute hotel but can be noisey the way it is designed.

Nice touch was the heater which we used since it gets really cold at night. The hotel also had free internet usage for 15 minutes a day per person. Nice when all you want to do is check in with home.

Breakfast was ok on the top floor of the hotel. Made eggs to order if you wanted them. Extremely close to the main tourist street. Felt safe getting there. Staff knows little English.

Probably wouldn't stay again because of the noise. If I had a room off the street maybe....

Stayed here 2 nights. Located on busy & noisy pedestrian walkway. Room & bathroom were very small but clean. A plus was the portable heater which was very much needed as the nights are cold at 13,000 feet altitude.

Room price includes breakfast which was comprehensive & included eggs.

Staff were friendly & spoke some English.

Wouldn't stay here again because of the small room & noisy location.

I stayed here with my wife for one night in April and was thoroughly disappointed.

I had high expectations after reading the review in the Lonely Planet guide but they were soon quashed when we were shown to our room only to find someone else was in it. They decided in the end to shuffle us off to the room next door which was small, cold and windowless. Our 3 travelling companions were put in a double room upstairs with an extra bed jammed in leaving barely any room to move.

The rooms are arranged around a central column which also means that you can hear absolutely everything. Not good when there are some very loud Germans staying across the corridor!

Good points: The staff are friendly and the breakfast is good if you can manage to make it up all those stairs at this altitude.

This little Hostal came recommended by a Peruvian friend. The staff, owner, all were super friendly and very efficient. For the money I don't think you could find a nicer, friendlier place to stay. Makes you feel right at home.. Great breakfasts on the rooftop rest.
One block from main shopping, and restaurant street.. Great decor.

SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR. GO SEE SONIA AND SAY HELLO
