Arrived in the evening after the long train ride from Cusco for a 3 night stay. A light bite in the bar was fine for supper. Opened the curtains the next morning to a really spectacular sunrise, before heading out for the islands tours. The breakfast buffets were very good. Service at the front desk, for a couple of requests, was timely and responsive. I guess my main complaint was when a large tour group arrived (very loud guests) who continued to party and make lots of noise until 1:30 am. We were in room 412, right at the elevators, so we could hear everything from the open lobby below. Loved being on the upper floor for view, but would have much preferred to be on either end of the hallway because of the noise.

My wife and I spent two nights here while on holiday. The hotel is located about 15 minutes' taxi ride from the town centre in a very attractive setting which gives fabulous views over Lake Titicaca. Although the hotel itself is not particularly attractive and somewhat lacking in charm we found it very comfortable with good facilities and excellent service. We also thought that the food in the restaurant was very good although rather expensive. From talking to other travellers and other reviews this seems to be one of the best options available in Puno.

After a very long day, we were pleased to arrive at this hotel. The altitude had started to upset people and the hotel was always ready with oxygen and coca tea. The rooms however were a little disappointing and on the small side. There was only just enough room at the end of the bed and this was not helped by a large air conditioning unit standing there too. But the view of Lake Titicaca at sunrise (all rooms have a view of the lake) was breathtaking. The building is slightly incongruous and people thought I had taken pictures of a cruise ship as it is long and white and flat. It needs a few more curves !! breakfast was extremely good with the best guacamole I have ever tasted !! When it was good it was very very good, and when it let you down, it did so with a bump !

After a long train ride from Cusco we were treated to this gem placed prominently at the end of a peninsula. Some may like an open plan but we enjoyed having a separate bedroom. All the rooms have a spectacular view either across the bay to the city of Puna or out to the vast Lake Titicaca. The sunrise on the lake was truly memorable and worth the early rise. All the features of Lake Titicaca and the city of Puno are either a short boat or taxi ride aw ay from the hotel. The hotel's location is also a welcome respite from a sometimes gritty nature of Puno. The hoteliers are very helpful and accessible. Well worth the visit.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for the side of the hotel you prefer.

This was our last hotel in Peru and we only stayed one night. For a 5* hotel we found the rooms very small and were dismayed that there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room - I suppose they think that if you can afford to stay there you can afford room service. The bathroom was lovely with all sorts of luxury bath things and the view when I opened the curtains just as the sun was rising, was fantastic. Our room faced over Lake Titicaca but there was no time to sit and gaze as we had a boat trip organised from the hotel's own jetty. Breakfast was very good and there is coca tea available all the time in reception. Staff knew their jobs. I loved Lake Tititcaca, it was serene, calm and fortunately the sun shone on us.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that overlooks the lake rather than Puno.
