I was a bit put off initially as Jenny, the owner, pointed out things that didn't work properly, such as the overhead light in my room. The toilet seat was just about off its hinges. She advised me to shower in mid-afternoon, when the electric and the solar water heaters would both be working. As it turned out, the light did work and the shower was beautifully hot, after a little finagling with pressure. However, the whole place was unheated. Jenny wasn't able to convince me that it was acceptable to wear a winter coat, two pairs of trousers and gloves in the house. I learned my bed with cozy feather duvet was the place to hang out. The common area of living room and breakfast room are very friendly (if cold) and interestingly decorated, with good books. Breakfast was exceptionally good: freshly delivered bread, butter, and jam in large quantities, plus pancakes and eggs - even at 6 a.m.!

I love to be spoiled and I definitely received that here! The hostess is eager to make your stay in Puno a good one.

From outside it appears unimpressive, but the couches & dining area together with the cute backyard space make this place feel like home. Rooms are clean, nice bathrooms in each, wifi is ok. Breakfast was s10 extra, but worth it :)

The hotel is clean, well run and well kept. The rooms of adequate size and at least my room had a king size bed. There are two outside terraces on different levels with table and chairs for smokers. The large ground floor public area is abundantly furnished with table and chairs for breakfast, and lounge chairs, and has plenty of light. Best of all is the lady owner Jenny who receives and treats guests as family with a hug of welcome and farewell. Any information or contact for getting around is available.  They know everybody.  Breakfast is by far the most generous and lovingly cooked I have come across in three months in Latin America, and is served as early as you need it to get away for a bus.  The light and crisp buns are brought in freshly from the bakery in the morning.  I was truly sorry to leave.

We stayed at Kusillo's Posada before and after our trip to Lake Titicaca. I had emailed Jenny directly to reserve a room, however there was no record of it when we arrived. Also, the guy checking us in didn't speak a lick of English. But this wasn't a problem because there were rooms available and we were able to charades our way through it.

Jenny was extremely welcoming and made us feel at home. We had two very nice breakfasts (pancakes, and scrambled eggs - a welcomed change from all the bread and jam!). She also called and confirmed our Lake Titicaca tour for us.

The location is good, just about 7-10 minute walk from the main square. One issue we did have was the hot water....it was almost non-existent!

All in all it was a nice place to stay!

Jenny was very friendly and has organised for us in just 1 hour a dedicated trip to the Uros island and the Llachon peninsula (as we wanted to avoid the crowded Amantani Island). Very efficient.
The hostel is well placed in the town : you can go to the main place by foot and it is very quiet.
The bed was very warm and was the biggest we ever had slept in (what is above "king size ?")
The best place in Peru we have met.

First of all, I must say that the owner, Jenny, does a lovely and tremmendous job to give a perfect service to all the guests. She sat down with us to explain the city of Puno to us, telling us where we should go and should not go, where we should eat and what tour we could do the next day. That was really totally sweet of her. She absolutely made up for a lot of stuff that we painfully missed: It was bitterly cold in the whole house (as it is many times in Peru...), our room was dingy, the bed sheets did not actually have a fresh scent, the towels showed some stains and blurs which made it unsure, whether they were washed... The shower was covered in cupper rust, the tiles were all damaged and, what was actually the worst of all, we did not have hot water! Neither in the evening, nor in the morning, as was promised... But at least Jenny prepared some nice hot water bottles for our bed :-).
