“Great restaurant in Puno”
Reviewed August 14, 2013 via mobile

We had a great dinner here. The bruschetta, tomato soup, Kashmir Curry and Out of Africa sandwich were all well prepared, presented, and tasted great. The value was good as well after spending much more in Cusco for the same type of food and atmosphere. Would suggest for other travelers looking for a diverse menu. Could also be a fun place to hang out for a few drinks in the upstairs area.

“There are much better eating establishments around”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

Our party of 7 had an unenjoyable dinner here. The place was empty and despite recommendations from trip advisor the food was salty and bad. We just had dinner at another restaurant the next evening located at the main square. Place was packed, food was good and better priced.

“Delicious food!”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

Colors restaurant was so good we came back twice! We had dinner here and then returned the next day for lunch. I highly recommend the Menu Del Dia, although it is more expensive than a typical Menu del Dia. I had the raviolis for dinner and they were delicious! Truly a great find!

“Absolutely fulfilling & worth every centimos!”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

We, as young, backpackers like our cheap restaurants. Even though Colors is a bit pricey, it was honestly worth every centimos! We ordered the "Out of Africa" gyro and a golden Thai noodle dish.

The gyro isn't your traditional gyro, but the chicken was moist, the spicing was perfect and the sauce was to die for. I literally wanted to lick the sauce off the plate! (s/16) I also had an Indian chai tea; it lacked a bit in favour, but nothing a teaspoon of sugar couldn't fix! But, be warned, it's made with milk.

My boyfriend's noodle dish was also delicious. When he ordered, the waitress kindly noted that it was a sweet dish (as I see earlier goers have complained about) so we weren't disappointed. Moist chicken and pieces of pineapple made the dish even better. It was also a large serving too, he was perfectly full after his meal. (s/28)

We splurged and ordere dessert. We had the Mexican chocolate espresso pecan brownie, it would have been better warm with ice cream or something similar, because it was a bit dry. However, this was the only downside to our experience. The food was great, the waitress was extremely nice and we enjoyed the music. Maybe, with heavy bass, it's aimed at a certain crowd, but it left us with a great taste to go back regardless.

Possibly the best meal we've had for our money in all of Peru! Thanks for the recommendation, Lonely Planet. :)

“Excellent restaurant”

Food was fantastic for a really good price, especially if you ask for the set menu. Service was great as well as the atmosphere.
