“Great staff - Nice hotel”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

We stayed two nights at Mosoq. The rooms are rather large with very comfortable beds and linens! Nohely helped to arrange a tour of Uros Islands and Sillustani Towers for us, which was very good! She is a very professional and helpful young lady! The breakfast is nice, with several options. The only thing remotely negative I could say is the rooms are a little bit dated. We did not feel unsafe or uncomfortable at all walking around the neighborhood, even at night. Overall, it's a great place to stay when in Puno!

We stayed three nights at the Mosoq Inn. I have to say, that it was probably one of the best hotels - maybe the best, in our three weeks stay in Peru. Staff were really very helpfull, caring and professional (and speaking english), rooms and bathroom were comfortable, buffet breakfast rich and tasty. Hotel and its facilities are fairly new and in the high standard (for Peru).

I stayed here while I was visiting Lake Titicaca. The rooms was OK, but I didn't think the neighbourhood was very charming. It was a poor area. The staff was really nice and helpful though. When I arrived I wanted a room with windows and they helped me with that.

Room Tip: Take a room with a window

We stayed for a couple of nights at the Mosoq Inn. Staff were helpful and welcoming and we organised a great boat tour through the hotel. Our first room was a interior room which was a little hot and cramped, so after one night we asked to move to another room. The hotel moved us and we got a lovely light room at the front of the hotel. The location is a few blocks from the main square - an easy walk or a cheap taxi if it's late.

This quiet and very comfortable inn is notable for the caring and attentive staff, particularly Candida at Reception. Just a few blocks away is the hustle and bustle of the main square,
with all the action, but at the Mosoq Inn, peace reigns.

We stayed in Mosoq Inn hotel two nights but in between we left for 1 night to Copacabana, Bolivia. We were allowed to leave our luggage and our personal things in our room and we were not charged for that night. The hotel staff was very friendly, very professional and very helpful. The hotel is a new building a little out of the touristic streets. The room had everything what we needed, there was also a heater. The bathroom had a window to the staircase, and it was only window which could be used for getting "fresh" air. The windows in the room could not be opened to the real fresh air, what was only one min point of this hotel. I had problems with breathing (high level of Puno and poluted air from the exhausts of the cars) and in the middle of the night I had to open the door to the corridor.
The receptionist Mrs. Nohely helped to arrange for us a very nice half day excursion to Sillustani tombs which was guided by a very professional guide. The breakfast was excellent, perhaps the best we had in Peru. The hotel has free Wifi and computer for use.

I stayed here for a night while waiting to transfer to Isla Suasi and I was not impressed. The hotel manager and I had a miscommunication about bus station pick up, and I ended up taking a cab to the hotel after a bit of a confusion about where it actually was. It's located a few blocks from the main square, but the area is shady and there were NO streetlights. For a woman traveling alone, it was a bit scary to walk down that empty path at 9 pm when it was practically pitch black. The rooms were outdated and certainly not any worse than other hotels in the city. I just think that Puno had an inflated opinion of itself. I wouldn't stay here again, and I actually changed hotels for my way out of Puno to something on the main square.
