We spent 2 nights at the Intiqa hotel which is a great base for exploring lake Titicaca. The spacious rooms had 2 double beds and 1 single and the staff brought water bottles which stayed warm until the morning. Great hot water showers, good heating in all areas, free wifi and a generous buffer breakfast. Highly recommend this excellent value hotel.

This hotel was just what we needed. It was a very quick walk (3 minutes) away from the main street, and had big warm beds. Showers have hot water, breakfast has a big selection and there is good wifi. Free tea in the lobby to help with altitude. Hotel allows you to store baggage if necessary.

Located very close to Lima street, with great restaurants and shopping, this hotel offers comfort, cleanliness and great breakfasts as you prepare for your trip to Lake Titicaca. An OUTSTANDING bonus was the fact that the front desk tracked me down in my cab to let me know that I had left my iPad in their lobby. I had hundreds of pictures from my weeks in Peru and would have been crushed without them. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel to travelers to Lake Titicaca.

This is a hotel with nice bright large rooms with comfy beds, a desk and closet. There is no dresser to unpack for several days but there is enough room to spread things out for one or two nights. Ensuite bathrooms have a bath/shower, toilet and sink. Fresh towels, soap and shampoo are provided daily. There is lots of space and good water pressure. Free wifi is available in rooms. The hotel is steps away from a good selection of restaurants and shops.

Buffet breakfast (included) - eggs(cooked to order), bread, jam, cheese, meat, cereals, yoghourt, fruit, juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate is served in a dining room.

Had a great experience here, we stayed here before and after our overnight trip to Lake Titicaca.
Front office staff were very friendly and rooms were clean and cosy.
We were waiting for our morning pickup to go out on Lake Titicaca and the hotel staff warned us that we couldn't take all our luggage which we should have known but missed that part in our itinerary (duh) So there we are in the lobby throwing clothes from our suitcases to a duffle bag while our ride waited for us. Hotel staff were awesome, helping us put everything away and then when we returned, our luggage was waiting in the same room as before.
We asked them for advise on restaurants etc. and they were bang on every time.
Breakfast was very good and staff made a great omelet .

We arrived quite late and were shown to our room, we were quite sick with altitude sickness and upon using the bathroom - could not get the toilet to flush - not a great start, we contacted the front desk and they moved us to another room efficiently.

We were upgraded to a much better room with a Kingsized bed on a higher floor. The room was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom large and clean too.

Breakfast was off the menu on day 1, there were many choices and we could have as much or as little as we wanted - although this wasn't explained to us and being unwell we didn't have much of an appetite. On day 2, there was a rather large tour group from France and the breakfast was a buffet style - help yourself.

The hotel offers free oxygen if you do suffer from altitude sickness which is a godsend.

It poured with rain one night, so we decided to eat at the hotel, the meal was disgusting - worst food the entire time 20 days in Peru - I wouldn't recommend you dine in.... definitely leave the hotel for meals.

Our room was located at the front of the hotel so sleep quality wasn't great, lots of noisy traffic noises, people noise late at night and early in the morning, and a rooster who decided to start crowing around 2am....

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the street if you're a light sleeper - there's a rooster nearby wh...
