Beautiful views of the lake from the hotel and our room, especially at sunset. Rooms are good size, comfortable and quiet. Staff are helpful and friendly. Hotel is located far (15 Minutes by car) from Puno center and you'll definitely need to take a taxi to go to the Town center. Breakfast was good with a nice selection. WiFi was slow at times your best bet is the lobby near the front desk. The dinner was good and the restaurant had great nighttime views of Puno and a unique fireplace. All in all a very good experience.

Stayed two nights during our adventure in Peru. We were thoroughly chilled after an 8 hour drive through the mountains from Cusco. What a wonderful surprise to be greeted with cups of hot coca tea before we even checked in! Heated tiles in the bathrooms also helped to make us very comfortable. Hotel rooms all have unbelievable views of Lake Titcaca. Even at night, the lights of Puno reflected on the water are spectacular. The dock for the boat that took us to the Uros is directly across the street from the hotel. The restaurant, with views of the lake, has a very nice breakfast buffet. At dinner, there is a wonderful fireplace in the center of the room. The food is imaginative and beautifully presented and the service is professional yet friendly.
Free wi-fi at computers off the lobby. Who can complain about using computers as you gaze out onto Lake Titcaca? Large oxygen tank is also available in the lobby for those suffering from adjusting to the altitude.
My most memorable experience has to do with Patricia, one of the hotel's front desk employees.
I was having quite a challenge adding time to the disposable phone I had purchased in Peru to keep in touch with home. Seems the company, Claro, would not accept my credit card to purchase minutes. Patricia spent quite a bit of time both on-line and on the phone with the company trying to help me. To solve my problem, she drove into Puno and added time to my phone using cash. When she returned to the hotel, she asked that I come to the lobby so she could verify that the time had indeed be added to my phone. This was an absolutely amazing experience for me! It speaks loudly about the quality of employees at Jose Antonio.

I would not recommend staying in the centre of Puno which seems like a bit of a dump. This hotel is about a 15 minute drive from the centre of Puno which is a good distance from the town. The hotel's foyer is airy but a little cold. Rooms are clean and adequate. Wifi didn't work in the rooms. Lake Titicaca and the floating islands are worth the trip to Puno - very tranquil and beautiful. The people on the floating islands are absolutely charming.

The hotel was a very nice size room for 3 people. The rooms look out over Lake TIticaca... what a magnificent view. We ate in the hotel 2 times and the food and service was very good. Our waiter Eduardo Diaz was very pleasant and willing to accommodate our special requests.

The hotel has large rooms with a great view of the lake and the city of Puno. Our room was spacious with two comfortable beds. The bathroom had heated floor tiles, a really nice touch. It was the only hotel on our trip that did not provide two free bottles of water next to the sink. Water and other drinks were in the small refrigerator at cost.
The decor is stark. What a shame in a country with so many beautiful textiles and crafts! Look out the back windows in the hallway. Maybe you can spot the two chinchillas living on the rocks.
Dinner was tasty and the two free welcome drinks of Pisco sour were really welcome.
On our second day, the hotel had about 150 guests, mainly from tour groups. As a result, the breakfast buffet was totally overwhelmed. The staff struggled to provide cups and glasses, never mind the actual food. Obviously, the breakfast manager had not anticipated the need to feed that many people at the same time. I find this strange in a hotel this size and popular with large tour groups.

Hotel is located approximately 10 km south of town. This means a taxi is required each direction (about 15 soles).
The staff is very helpful, mentioning in particular Ana from the reception who is great help in planning and providing useful advice.
The rooms are big and rather clean, with a huge common terrace facing lake Titicaca.
Since the hotel is far from town, we dined several times at the hotel's restaurant and food was delicious.

This hotel is very modern it overlooks lake Titicaca on the outskirts of Puno. The bedrooms are huge with lots of storage space, a large comfortable bed, TV and fridge. The rooms have enormous windows to enjoy the view of the lake and surrounding area although we did find it a bit noisy early in the morning as our room was by the side of the busy main road. The restaurant was inviting with a good choice of food the lasagne was delicious! There was a very good choice of food for breakfast, fruit, eggs, bacon, pancakes, cereals, etc. This hotel is quite isolated outside the main town so you have to have a taxi to go anywhere so we ate in the restaurant both nights we were there.
