It was very cheap on Orbitz, and I had a coupon too, so booked three nights. The photos looked nice. The actual place did not...
The property is very run down and needs a lot of work. The pool area seemed especially dirty. The lounge chairs covered in dust and filthy green water in the pool.
The room was large but very plain. There was a TV and a refrigerator. A wall-mounted air-conditioner cooled reasonably well but was too loud to sleep with it running. Some odd-shaped shelves for clothes.
The bathroom had a shower with a torn curtain. If you wanted hot water, you'd ring the front desk and ask them to turn the heater on.
The included breakfast consisted of a bland Peruvian roll, butter and jam, a slice of ham, coffee/tea, and a glass of juice that was so watered-down that it was undrinkable. It took the elderly "chef" some 15 minutes to get us that tiny meal.
Round-trip airport transfers were complimentary in their van that was in just as bad shape as everything else.
No Internet connection, but that's really a problem on the town level - it's still only modem connection in all the internet cafes...
The hotel's location was away from anything, really. A long walk or a taxi (reekshaw or motorcycle taxis) were required to go anywhere.
The only positive is the manager and the front desk people who are really very sweet.
With some effort this place could be given a face lift and turned into a jem.
