I loved staying at this hotel. The room was very large and boasted a huge balcony overlooking the River. In the summertime, this balcony would be a wonderful treat. Great furnishings with a modern, chic touch. The bed was top quality.

The hallways at night are a bit eerie due to the movement sensor lighting being used. When one walks out of ones room at night, it is very dark until the sensor feels the movement, causing the lights to suddenly turn on. A bit startling and odd. This could use improvement.

Great lobby area. The breakfast buffett, included in the price of my room, was decent enough. Not enough choices in my opinion. Very stark and South American, in that sense. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Room tip: Rooms with a view to the river. Lovely!

The Hotel is located in the Costa Nera but kind of far from Playa San Jose, non the less, it is a very nice and quiet area surrounded by lots of tree. We do not stay in the hotel, we had lunch at the Soho Restaurant, it was a buffet. It seems there were not many customers because the buffet had only a few choices. The food was ok, not great but ok. We order a beer but it was not very cold, the waiter brought us a bucket of ice and after a few minutes the beer was cold enough. A suggestion for the hotel is to have signs by every dish in the buffet (in spanish and english) because the restaurant cook did not know how to explain what the dishes were. We had a good waiter but it seems the personal still needs some training, maybe because the hotel was opened only a few months ago. The swimming pool area and garden were very beautiful. In general the hotel looked very clean. I am sure the staff service will get better with time. I will suggest people to go visit but having all this in mind.

Had a very nice stay at this hotel. The rooms are modern and clean, as is the entire property. Service was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. We ate one evening at the restaurant and had a good meal well served by our waiter Luis. The following evening we ate next door at a barbeque place, Alazar. Look for a sign with a guitar and a horse, well worth a visit. They are closed Sunday's.

Although located in front of the Costanera -on the left hand side- it is a little far from the main beach and town area. The hotel is only about two years old and it seems to be mainly used as a conference center and events' venue. On the day of our stay there must have been a maximum of five guests.

The pool and sauna areas are well looked after and the lobby is bright and clean. The rooms are spacious and are kept very clean. Our room, 701, had a view of the pool and garden. The best part of the room was the excellent shower, although the bathroom lacks privacy (shower opens straight to the bedroom).

The bar was in process of changing over from the hotel management to an outside provider (initiated, apparently, a few weeks earlier). We were put off and surprised that it didn't have a drinks menu or price list and when we asked how we would know the cost of drinks, they told us not to worry as they had it already registered in their till. Most odd for a hotel of this category. The TV was blaring at the bar- only muffled a little by the background muzak.

The restaurant was appalling, from my broken wine glass (with a long, deep hairline crack) to the very un-Arrabiata sauce of my husband's pasta. When I pointed the broken glass out to the waiter, he tipped the contents of the broken glass to a new one with no apology. Again at the restaurant, an extra loud, very large TV was trying to drown the loud background music while a nice cleaning lady shone the already shining floor. My husband attempted the "arrabiata" but he could not face more than a couple of mouthfulls of a "sauce" consisting of chunks of boiled veg covered with a gluey cheese mess. We sent the dish back to the kitchen and two minutes later it reappeared with a few splashes of ketchup thrown over it - yuk!!!!! Avoid the restaurant, they not only need to change the "chef" but also train their waiters.

Room tip: Request a room with a river view. Avoid the bar and restaurant

Hotel is four month old, and it is next to the Costanera (road next to river). Road and area are brand new but there are no restaurants or other attraction next to it. It's easy access from/to town. Being brand new everything looks great. Breakfast was included breakfast buffet was smaller as days passed: We had bfast on Saturday very nice spread, plenty of fruits, pastries, fixings for cereals, Sunday too but starting on Monday there were less fruit and pastries by Tuesday fixing for cereal were gone, 3-4 fruits on cereal, same for pastries.

Room tip: Best view towards the river.
