This was an awesome historical site. even thought the Jesuits left in 1850 and returned back to rome, the ruins was awesome. I was not crowded and in a very nice part of the country. I would recommends this to any visitor.

This place is tranquil, a little spooky, especially knowing the history. But a great place to walk around and enjoy the silence, learning a bit of the past.

Stopped in Encarnacion to see the Jesuit ruins at Trinidad. Was not sure what to expect. I found them to be quite impressive. The solitude of the site really made an impression on me. This is probably one of the least visited UNESCO World Heritage sites but worth it.
