This resort was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay there. The rooms are very clean and the staff was so friendly. Everything was easy to get to and the food was amazing. The weather was perfect and they offer quite a few excursions to go on. Very clean beach and the grounds were kept immaculate. We would definitely go back.

The resort is well designed nothing is too far away. This can be a detriment in that we were kept awake every evening by the show, and again when the bars closed.
It advertises the world's second largest pool, and it is great. What they leave out is that it costs $15 per person per day. Water slide and trampoline are included, and your drunk pass will work.
The resort will charge you $15 for 3 days of wifi; however if you walk to the tower units you can get free wifi.
The buffet fluctuated from good to awful. There was one night where we could not eat anything. We started going to neighboring restaurants to get good, hot food.
The workers do not speak English, and are not very friendly(compared to Cuba).
It is not a Caribbean beach so do not expect white sand and clear water. This beach was a Disappointment.
Anton Valley trip is great and highly recommended.

Room Tip: Stay away from the 600 block as it is closest to the Disco and loud

If you want hot beautiful weather in a safe envirnoment this resort is the place. As stated in the many other reviews it is a long bus ride from the airport to the resort area... but when the airport is complete in 2014 it will be about 15 minutes. Take it is stride and think of it as a free tour... depending on your tour guide you can learn a wealth about the country and see the Panama canal and have a mini city tour. It is a LONG travel day.... food on the plane is good, but there is little after that, pack snacks. You do get a beer or water on the way to the hotel and they do stop once for toilets there are none on the bus.
The country is hot and close to the equator, sunscreen, hats and water is a must.
The resort is flat there are elevators in building 1 so it is quite accessible. There are 2 pools a relaxing pool and the activities pool, where little activity occurs... This was my only complaint that there were no organized activities pool side. There was alway a net up for volleyball and most days there was dance lessons, but compare to other resorts, no water aerobics, bingo, trivia spanish lessons etc. One week was plenty
The beach goes on forever, and you can walk to the Decameron resort at low tide. There are vendors on the beach selling souvenirs I didnt find them till the last day... unfortunately. There are vendors that come to the resort on Monday and Wednesday, Their prices are pretty good, but the resort prices are excessive.
There is a Canadian bar on the beach by the Decameron called Woodys. I didnt go but many people enjoyed the food and beverages there.
The tours are well organized we had Enrique as a guide and he was awesome. I would have done more, but the travelling distance was prohibitive.
The food was adequate, some better than others, I did not starve... I was never hungry. There is only 1 buffet and 1 snack bar, the snack bar serves chicken nuggets, fries, hotdogs and pizza and fruit. There are 2 a la cartes, dont bother going to them. I went to one, I ate later in the buffet, couldn't eat the meal I was served.
Rooms are spacious, air conditioned, beds are firm.
I will go back for the weather, hot and not to humid as the heat increases in the day so do the breezes. The ocean is warm the pools are perfect, the resort is clean, the people are friendly...

Room Tip: building 6 is right by the pool and music and disco, not the best choice.

The Hotel "PLaya Blanca", the one we stayed, is about 20 km from panama city, it has a great rooms with LDS TVs and great pools, the best thing about the hotel is its beaches and restaurant, by the way there is the biggest pool of the world near of the hotel, a interesting and relaxing attraction.

We were lucky to get a great 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo. It was very nice and clean. It had a washer and dryer which was great. They have some good restaurants in the main area closer to the beach. The pools were beautiful, but freezing. Didn't try the salt water pool or the beach.

Today, had our cooler bag with our sandals on top and a group of other tourists, not locals
stole a pair of sandals while we were in the water. However we were watching this group
non chalantly put their stuff around our bag while blocking the view from the water. The section of the beach was practically empty except a few walking by.They couldn't put their stuff elsewhere very, very fishy! My husband yelled and started to run out of the water , they then grabbed their stuff and moved it a few feet away with the sandals. They didn't have enough time
to do anythong else.I had gotten out of the water right away noticed sandals missing so I looked
where there stuff was and guess what there they were!

A long way from any where in the middle of no were! There is a hough construction sight going on right now.Lots of noise and dust and smell of diesel. This beach is not that good a smelly river right beside it.There is no town centre in the rest of the complex only one place to go and eat would suggest Coronado next time. The condo we rented was FILTHY!! and the managment company shame on you!!!We had to clean the place ourselves. There was no phone to call cab or golf carts and we were told to buy a cell phone. We were told to leave the beach area by the hotel we could not us this beach area after the managment company has told we could us the beach area. There was also a pack of wild dogs at least 12 dogs on the complex.I would never go back to Playa Blanca
