“Overnight at the ANAM station was great”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

We spent a night at the rustic cabins at the ANAM station. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the cabins! The one we had contained 6 beds for dorm style accomodations in a realitively clean environment. The toilet in our room was not working properly, so we used the public facilities in the middle of the beach area. They were also clean and fully functional. After a few warnings about how rustic things were, my expectations were well exceeded.
There are also white-faced moneys that come in the jungle behind the kitchen on the opposite side of the beach from the dock. There is a little museum you can walk through which talks about the park. There is a dock that you can walk out on. It is a little run down, so be careful.
Overall we were very happy here, and the diving around the island was amazing!

“Nice water - facilities lacking”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

Our Cruise ship ferried us to this beach for a barbeque. The beach looked very nice and the water was crystal clear. people enjoyed the snorkeling.

The beach our ship used had minimal facilities for a barbeque. It was like going to a small lack in NJ that you pay $ 5 for a car load of people. This complaint is all about the cruise ship.

It was popular to hike to the top peak about 45 minutes. great views and wildlife.

“Crystal clear waters and colorful fish”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

It was like being in Paradise! We went snorkeling around the island. It is totally unspoiled and beautiful. I would not recommend staying overnight, however, because there are no facilities. Stay in Santa Catalina and go over by boat!

“Great Snorkeling”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

Snorkeling was well worth the bone jarring 2 hour boat ride to get there. There was a great place on the beach for picnicking. We stopped at three different places to snorkel.

“Great day trip from Santa Catalina”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

We went here for a day trip from Santa Catalina. We left around 830 am and were back around 4. Our boat took us to a couple different islands and we had the chance to snorkel. The snorkeling was very good, if not super clear. Great amount of fish though.

My wife got a jellyfish sting though. Apparently the sea turtles eat the jellyfish except for the stingers, and so there's some stingers floating around. I felt them but didn't have a reaction. But my wife did and had a nice little bracelet for the next 3-4 days.
