Warm welcome, lovely breakfast, (bath)room are very nice equipped and the grounds are stupendous! Our host was very empathetic and caring.
We spent five nights in the casita and I'm sure I will echo other reviewers when I note that our hosts, Ciella and Quincy played a large part in making our visit most enjoyable. The Hacienda and free-standing casita are located on a plush hillside surrounded with banana trees and gorgeous tropical flowering plants. A tumbling stream cascades just below the casita's over-hanging deck and provides a soothing natural sound background. Paths wind through the grounds with benches positioned along the way. The casita is efficiency sized with full bathroom and sufficient kitchen for two.
The hillside location above the town of Boquete requires a vehicle to get to and from. Taxis are available, but we found a reasonable car rental just south of town. Here's where our hosts really helped out; first they drove down to pick us up when we first arrived by bus (even allowing for a quick run through the local grocery store for supplies), then drove us next morning to the car rental place. They could have just as easily told us to take a taxi. On top of that, even though we hadn't booked the "bed & breakfast" plan, they invited us to join them for breakfast that first morning. They were both very charming and great sources of information about the surrounding area.
I should mention that one of the most exciting parts of our days there included the drive up and down the hillside. The "shortcut" up the hill consists of two narrow strips of concrete that ascend at approximately a 45 degree angle. Luckily it is not too heavily traveled. Personally, I found it invigorating.
The Hacienda looked a lot more spacious, but we were quite happy in the casita.
Quincy and Ciella are two of the nicest and most interesting people we have met in our travels around the world. We stayed at The hacienda for a month, with a side trip to their managed property in Las Lajas. The Breakfasts, by Ciella mostly, were wonderful. We were lucky enough to enjoy both the Garden Suite and the Casita during our stay. Tjhe weather was not the greatest during our stay, but this did not deter us from having a great time. We had a rental so were able to take in the restaurants and sites in and around Boquete. We especially enjoyed the bird watching. We put out bananas and papayas daily and the beautiful Panamanian birds came. We feel that we have made friends for life and we enjoyed listening to our hosts watching football on Sundays. It was hysterical. We also really liked th "Short Cut" into town. We will return.

Ciella and Quincy provided us with excellent tips and were very responsive prior to and during our stay. Quincy even met us in town to bring us up the hill to the hacienda and spent some time answering questions and explaining the main attractions. Our first impression was that the place was clean, spacious, and even more modern-looking than the profile pictures. We loved the sitting rooms and gardens just outside both rooms. Bathrooms were clean and big, and the bedding was excellent. The beds were soft and comfortable, and we slept well during our stay. The breakfasts were delicious and filling, and mostly accommodated one member of our party's gluten insensitivity.
We did expect the distance from town, but since we were there during the coffee and flower festival, it was very difficult to find taxis that were willing to cross over to our side of the mountain. We had to skip a dinner reservation one night and walk down the mountain to town to eat (about 25 minutes and steep). The walk is pleasant when you are looking for some exercise, but less so when you have hiked in the day and are looking to relax. :)
There were a few factors that contributed to the 4-star rating: spotty wifi in the Garden Suite, inconsistent hot water and some disruption from the hosts (lots of yelling could be heard downstairs during the football game upstairs and they and their guests were often back and forth through the common area, where we were eating dinner one night and watching Netflix which could not be accessed in the room due to wifi). I should note that they do provide a large selection of movies that can be viewed in the rooms, but it would be nice if there was a bit more privacy (the downstairs also provides the main access to their part of the house).

Our family of 5 stayed at The Hacienda in April. Prior to arriving, Ciella was excellent about answering my questions. We arrived on Good Friday, which we now know is a major holiday in Boquete. Our hosts Ciella and Quincy knew that we might have trouble finding a restaurant open or taxi to bring us to their B & B, and met our bus from David. They then took our luggage back with them, while we followed their suggestions in finding a place to eat. Quincy offered to come and get us when we were done. Wow, what a welcome!
Once at The Hacienda, we were immediately struck by the beauty of the grounds and accommodations. Ciella and Quincy quite obviously love it there, and are happy to share it with others. It was a wonderful place to stay, whether inside, out in a hammock or sitting in one of many areas carved out for that purpose in the gardens. The views are incredible here, as it sits on a hill just above the town.
Due to the holidays, we had some challenges with taxis and tours, but Quincy really helped us out by providing rides into town. I can't say enough about his and Ciella's hospitality!
The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious! Ciella even accommodated my son, who has dietary restrictions. Most times, we had no need for lunch after the big breakfasts, and we just waited until dinner for our next meal.
While there, we took advantage of their recommended massage therapist, Joy, who came to The Hacienda to do the massages. We also visited Jardin Encantado, a botanical garden and wildlife reserve, which we highly recommend. We also did a great tour of Finca Dos Jefes, a local coffee farm. Get a tour led by the owner, Richard, if you can. The two restaurants we ate at were The Panamonte and Big Daddy's Grill, and both had great food. Follow recommendations by Quincy & Ciella, they won't steer you wrong.
One note, if you don't want to rely on taxis to get you around (or if you are traveling on a holiday or during a special event), rental cars are available and the town isn't too difficult to find your way around. I walked to & from town from The Hacienda, and it's a steep trail that isn't for anyone not in shape. It was about 15 minutes to town and 45 minutes to get back.
I didn't mention that a microwave and electric tea kettle is provided, as is triple filtered drinking water, an assortment of teas, and a french press for coffee. They also provide two cell phones for use while in Boquete, and have a list of contacts, including taxi drivers, tours and others you may need. Maps, and directions in Spanish (to give to your taxi driver) are also provided. The free WiFi worked great in and near the house.
The next time we are in Boquete (and there will be a next time) we will certainly return to The Hacienda!

I can't say enough about our experience with Victoria and Scott. The house is perfection. Beautiful inside and out. They were so attentive to all of our needs that we didn't want to leave!! The breakfast that they provided was out of this world and the conversations, amazing. If anyone is planning a trip to Boquete, you won't find a better place.

La Hacienda was a pleasant stay. My family of 5 enjoy greatly the hospitality of Scott & Victoria. Nice folks that enhance the day at the Hacienda. The best I could describe the place is Boquete inside their Hacienda. They feature all the plants and flowers you will admire in the Boquete landscape. Just beautiful... The beds and room were spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was just delicious and well decorated. The place is just 10 minutes away from main Boquete, so you have easy access to the main areas to visit.
I wish we would have stay longer to truly enjoy more the stay and the surroundings. I guess we have to come back. Thanks Scott and Victoria!
