Certificate of Excellence

The highlight of our two-week trip. We booked three nights and within minutes of arriving decided to stay for the remainder of our trip. Starting with hassle-free reservations with owner Randy we were warmly welcomed. The guest suite was absolutely gorgeous and immaculate with incredible views. Sleeping on the bed was like drifting on a cloud. Luxury amenities and Randy has thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and trouble free. He gave us plenty of advice, fabulous coffee, and was available at any time. Chubbs the dog is also an absolute sweetheart. He greeted us sitting on the doorstep every morning and was there to say hi when we returned from our adventures. He and Snack the kitty cat also accompanied us down to the Ranchito for morning coffee and evening drinks. we can repeat all the superlatives from the other reviewers -believe every word! Manana Madera will exceed all your expectations. We can't wait to get back.

Room Tip: The two suites are identical. The one further from the house is newer The one closer has slightly...

Beautiful accommodations, gorgeous views, great breakfasts and not far from town. Randy does everything he can to help you enjoy your stay. He gave us great suggestions on trails to hike and his restaurant suggestions were spot on! We highly recommend this place!

What else is left that can possibly be said about Manana Madera? And how can one do this place and its serene surroundings justice? How can words describe owner Randy Pigott’s stunning hospitality? How to explain the amazing aroma and smell of the estate’s gourmet coffee in the morning, one of the finest and smoothest we have enjoyed in a long time? The list goes on and on, and I almost find myself at a loss of words – which does not happen easily.

On the other hand, let’s not ignore the downsides either: As “LiMitravelbugs” so aptly observed, only shampoo for curly hair types was provided; mon Dieu - a major blow to my travel experience! I’m sure if I had more hair left, I would be equally outraged, however, I’m gonna let that one slide...

On a more serious note, the two guest casitas are elegantly and tastefully appointed, inspiring and pure, yet not pretentious. The view of the adjacent mountains is marvelous, unobstructed through huge windows, and after ten days of sleeping in humid, damp bed linens in other parts of Panama, these here are crisp and fresh – what a joy! The same goes for being in bed at night when you get to count shooting stars through those enormous, panoramic windows.

If you ever have the privilege of staying here, consider yourself very, very lucky. It is a unique find, exuding an unparalleled sense of tranquility and being. Staying at Manana Madera is an experience in beauty.

One of our best memories in Panama trip, thank you Randy and the most beautiful place... We spent 5 nights at Manana Madera Coffee Estate in the beginning of Oct, Randy helped us to experience the best in the Boquete area. We hiked the pipeline trail to an incredible waterfall, spotted quetzal...water rafting in Chiriqui rivier via BOA, horseback riding in Caldera with our host Franklin Rovetto who loves writing and wishes to publish his first book " The Final Perspective". Amazing tree zipline, 14 platforms one of the best in central america... We highly recommend Manana Madera in Boquete to everyone. BTW, while there, go to Big Daddy's and try their fish tacos. Manana Madera is a beautiful place, peaceful, clean and the host Randy is one of the sweetest guys you'll ever meet.

This place is breathtakingly beautiful, set up high above Boquete in a coffee plantation with amazing views, flora and fauna. Randy is an incredible host, he really makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive, and is truly accommodating in every sense. Chubbs the dog is also very welcoming and possibly even more entertaining!
The entrance to the estate is certainly rustic, but well worth it - while a car is not essential, I would highly recommend one since you are well out of the town (10 min drive). Delicious coffee, modern, clean accommodation and peace and tranquility are all in abundance here, just wonderful.

Manana Madera lived up to and actually surpassed the extremely high standard of tripadvisor reviews that we'd read before staying here. It's so difficult to explain how genuine, generous and wonderful Randy is as a host and how beautiful and serene his property is. We're a couple in our 30s who were just looking to explore what Boquete had to offer for a few days. We'd planned on renting a car so we could be mobile and get around the town and surrounding area, but Randy suggested we hold off until he picked us up and got settled in. After our first day there, it was obvious that Randy was so generous with his offers to drop us off and pick us up from wherever we wanted to go that he was saving us the need (and cost!) of the rental car. On top of that, his suggestions on where to go, his help in booking activities and recommending excursions (we went on 2 lovely hikes, ziplining and rafting while we were there) and the use of his guesthouse cell phone made our stay so easy and comfortable that we had a lot of trouble leaving. We planned to stay 4 nights before arriving, but ended up staying 6 and considered staying longer because we loved it that much. It's an incredibly special place.

The guest suites are so beautiful and really well designed. Randy has thought of everything! The bed is heavenly and the views from the window are incredible. The bathroom has everything you could need (lush towels, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner & soap, wonderful shower pressure & heat). The living room has a coffee maker (of course, to have Randy's delicious brew whenever you want it), radio with ipod dock, tv, dvd player with fun selection of movies, playing cards, wine glasses & corkscrew and I'm sure more that I can't remember! His breakfasts are fantastic (french toast, sausage, oatmeal, fruit, toast, juice...) and you just really feel like you're at home.

We really feel so lucky to have had the pleasure of meeting Randy and experiencing his hospitality. He's built such a beautiful coffee estate and has taken the concept of "service" to new heights. On top of that, we fell in love with Chubbs (the dog) and truly miss our mornings with him on the porch and in the Ranchito on our hammocks. We could not have asked for more from our stay at Manana Madera. It was relaxing, beautiful, comfortable and so very memorable...all because of Randy.

Don't even bother considering staying anywhere else to stay if you're going to Boquete. It doesn't get any better than this.
