Highly recommend this for a more personal tour. Estate manager gave tour in Rich's absence and he was great - very informative and personalized tour for our time constraints and interest. I learned so much about coffee and have new appreciation for art of making and drinking coffee. We roasted coffee and packaged it and got to take it with us. Best of all - we got to toast to successful roasting with a cold Panama beer! Great experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed Carlos´tour of the coffee plantation in Boquete. The history of the area is fascinating and Carlos adds lots of extra information including the way the coffee is prepared but also about how the coffee plants grow and the work which Mr Ruiz does to keep the natural area as so much of Boquete is being sold to build more gated communities. Thanks for a great trip Carlos and stay happy!

“Coffee Coffee Coffee”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

While staying at a hostel in Boquete we found about americans that meet every Tues. Went there and was talking about coffee plantation visit and a lady overheard us. She had a coffee plantation that she would take us to for a lot less money(we bought her lunch). It was a wonderful visit and it is up in the mountain and very narrow roads but was worth the trip. We took pictures and videos of picking coffee beans and the topography there and on the way up. I would urge anyone to visit one of the plantations as it is well worth the trip. You just never know who you will meet when you socialize. My visit was in 2011.

“A must see in Boquete”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

If you are travelling to Boquete do this tour. Rich picks you up, and takes you to his farm. He is very hands on with his guests. You will get to see the process from start to finish. When you leave you feel like you would like to operate your own coffee farm! I have done other coffee tours and never felt as satisfied as I was with this one. If you are as fortunate as I was, I got to roast the coffee beans I took home, great experience.
