Beautiful views and an exhilarating experience. The 6-7 guides speak excellent English and are extremely safety oriented and careful. After the first few lines, I was eagerly zipping down and looking all around at the amazing scenery. It was over much too soon. When we went, the Boquete Bajareque was in full force and it was chilly, so bring warm, waterproof jackets if you can.
The day we went, there were only 3 of us so we got a lot of personal attention. Note that if this is the case, the morning ends much sooner than expected and you might have a bit of time to wait before the shuttle comes to bring you down the mountain. In our case, we finished at 10:30 and had to wait until about 11:40 before our ride came. We ended up having lunch at the lodge to save some time. While the lunch was decent, I would have appreciated it more if we were able to depart the lodge promptly instead. It was very quiet and there was almost no one there while we were waiting.
There are lockers to store your items at the lodge and you have a guide with a camera taking pictures for you, so I would not risk bringing a camera. It is $10 for a CD of all the pictures of everyone in your group. However, when we opened the CD it seemed that about half of the pictures were corrupted. We have contacted Tree Trek to see if we can get the remaining pictures.
