The restaurant that is attached to the El Oasis Botique Hotel is a local favorite with the cinema and ex pat set. It offers linen service and the chef has created a small, but exciting menu.
We started with the sweet red pepper soup with basil cream and it was wonderful. I had slurped mine down before my wife knew what was happening. For main courses, my wife ordered the local mountain spring trout and I had a fillet of beef.
The trout was delicious, cooked perfectly and the beef fillet was one of the most flavorful and tender pieces I have ever had. It was also the biggest I have had so far in Panama, but very very tender, as you would expect from grass fed beef.
They also offer a rack of pork loin, sea bass and even the ubiquitous Hamburger all of which are presented with expert hands and friendly service.
We have been staying at El Oasis and will be returning to this restaurant again before we leave.
