Very basic hotel, but you come here for the turles, not for a deluxe hotel expercience. The hotel has a very nice turtle-museum with an audio-tour available. There is a small souvenir-shop and a restaurant as well. The room was basic and very clean. However, sleeping in the hotel is almost impossible, because it is extremely noisy. In the rooms, you can literally hear everything that is said and done in the lobby or the hallway and crying and screaming children make your ears ring! So we didn't sleep at all, even with earplugs.
The turtle viewing was nice, although there were too many people (almost 100, I guess). The guides didn't seem to be very interested in the turtles and were very busy with their smartphones during our visit to the beach. They told us just some basic information. After some time, they suddenly threw a few baby-turles on the beach. Just for fun, so we could see the hatchlings too. I was shocked, because they probably carried those tiny turtles with them all the time and people almost stepped on them. Seeing the turtles was amazing, but this is not my idea of eco responsible tourism.
The restaurant (dinner and breakfast) was just fine, nothing special. Major dissapointment: only instant-coffee!More
