“My Little Home From Home.”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

Browniz is one of the very few places where free Wi-Fi is available!
VISITED: I have been visiting Browniz a couple of times a week since its opening.
DISHES TRIED: In general my visits to Browniz are for coffee, the use of the Wi-Fi and to smoke a cigar in their excellent, Air Filtered, “Smoking Room”!
However, on occasions we have eaten their Pizzas and Baguettes. All of which have been of a high quality, tasty and of a generous portion. The choice and quality of the drinks available is excellent. There is also a nice selection of cakes available.
The layout of the café is well thought out presenting as it does, small havens of relative seclusion for small and medium sized groups of guests. The décor is attractive and restful. The chairs and settees are comfortable, although they are in need of refurbishment.
The staff are smart, well presented and well trained with a good command of English.
The atmosphere is relaxing with the feel of a private club.
I have no problem with recommending this café to anyone who enjoys good coffee.

“Great Western-style coffee shop in downtown Salalah!”
Reviewed January 1, 2012

Browniz is about as close to a Western coffee shop that you'll find in Salalah. It's reasonably priced and serves good coffees and some nice food. Nice place to relax and read the paper. Friendly staff who speak decent English - excellent choice if you want somewhere a little less local!

“A taste of the West”
Reviewed December 25, 2011

Browniz is a little splash of Westernization in Salalah. It is located right in New Salalah surrounded by clothes and perfume shops. It is a classy and comfortable coffee shop with good food (sandwiches, desserts, pizzas, etc). The cost is expensive for Salalah, but still cheap compared to the West. It is a nice place to waste some time between meetings or just surfing the internet (probably the best wifi in Salalah) over coffee.

“Great atmosphere, good food and drinks, and free internet access”
Reviewed December 21, 2011

Browniz was great. The cafe was clean and has comfortable furniture. The service was great as well. The food, though limited to sandwiches/pizza, was great as well. I decided to go here while visiting Salalah for a few days and needed somewhere with food and free internet access. Myself and two others all ate, drank, and used the internet for about 4 hours for only 12 RO (about $31 US). I will certainly go there again if ever in Salalah.

“Only real Euro-style lunch-cafe in town (for now)”
Reviewed March 1, 2011

This place has become the best Euro-style lunch-cafe in town since the ban on smoking was imposed. Come here to relax with a friend or colleagues for lunch. My favorite is the Labne sandwich but they have an extensive menu and also serve Club Sandwiches, Pizzas, Chicken Nuggets & fries, Pancakes & cakes etc. Try the small bakery "cheese". It's delicious.
The staff are friendly and the fact that it is part of a chain seems to keep the quality of the food very constant.
You can relax in soft chairs and if you need more privacy (i.e. if you're there with business associates) you can rent a private area for 10 OMR. For families they also have an upstairs "family area".
