Traveled from UAE via road to OMAN Khasab and stayed in the Golden tulip hotel in Khasab. Hotel is located beside the see with great landscape. Rooms are spacious and hotel staff are friendly. Dining and breakfast was very good. Swimming pool is very nice and well maintained. We enjoyed our family vacations and over all it was great experience....

Room Tip: Room facing See and with bath tub

Travelled to this place with another couple who are based in Dubai. Interconnecting rooms were great.
Facilities really good but not cheap.
There is no real opposition around so they really can charge what they like.
Breakfast was OK. Bar also.
Small gripe, no ATM or money changing facility , something to consider.
Would stay here again.

We visited the hotel on 24-25 Aug. The service was great and the people at the reception were extremely polite. We had a sea facing room and the view was amazing. We did the dhow cruise to the Fjords, which was beautiful. Enjoyed the snorkelling since it was our 1st time. The road trip from the Oman border to the hotel is also great. All in all a great stay.

We booked 2 interconnecting rooms with sea view. Great for families. You have everything you need. We were not very happy with the cleanliness though. Bathroom, minibar and balcony seemed to be neglected areas...
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is nice and you can snorkel just in front of the hotel.
The breakfast was average. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants.
The trip is absolutely worth it. The Musandam Peninsula is stunning and we recommend to book a Dhow cruise.

I stayed with my family 3 nights, the accommodation and the sea view are great. The DIBBA restaurant is not come to the standards of 4 star hotel. The expensive price list-true for a 4 star hotel- but the they have to maintain the quality. The hommous served was from the cheap bottled one and fruits often lost their freshness.
Anyone likes outside food in Arabic-Mandi,Arabic Biryani, local arabic dishes,I suggest Dhaba Yemen Restaurant-in 1 km - or there is a foodcourt in Lulu hypermarket-Both serves quality foods with veriery choices, less price, good for kids and adults.

Room Tip: For value of money ,select delux sea view room in 3rd of 4th floor.

As part of a break from busy Dubai, we travelled to Oman for a 2 day tour. We stayed at the Golden Tulip as part of a tour of Khasab. We arrived at the hotel around 2 pm and checked in. Our room was spacious, clean and well equipped TV, complimentary refreshments and with it's own private balcony too. The highlight was the wonderful views across the bay.

We used the restaurant for lunch and ate from the buffet lunch offer. There was plenty of choice to suit all tastes. We later used the pool - plenty of loungers and pool towels, well maintained pool and great for kids and adults alike. In the evening we used the pub onsite - it looks like an English pub and licensed to serve alcohol too. We enjoyed a lighter meal of burger and chips with a bottle of wine plus they make great cocktails - Bloody Mary with lunch was spot on! You can also order from a wider ala carte menu or the evening buffet. The prices were not excessive and certainly this hotel is a strong 3* hotel.

The staff were polite, professional and spoke a number of languages - we rated the service very highly. We would happily recommend the Golden Tulip and really enjoyed our stay and hope to return again.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view facing room!

Stayed one night with hubby and 16 year old daughter, just a quick visit to include a dhow trip.
Really happy with the hotel, accommodation was great, clean and nice size rooms. You can try to negotiate a better rate of room by contacting the hotel direct, we did and they were flexible. Had a great view over the bay watching the fishing vessels and the thousands of cormorants. Reasonable size pool, well kept and clean. Buffet dinner was good and also the breakfast, for a smaller size hotel. Staff courteous with plenty of Omani hospitality. You can book a dhow trip from the hotel as there is an agent for Khasab tours on site. It is well worth doing! and was the highlight of our little holiday, if you are keen to see dolphins in the wild (best place to see them!) then this is the place! Thank you Golden Tulip, we'll be back!
